I tried using this stuff on two separate occasions to perm a client's hair. Her hair is still stick straight after following the instructions to the letter both times. I've permed a lot of clients' hair in the past and this is the first time that I've ever had this happen. It's also my first and last time using this product. Try another brand. The product was easy to use, but left my hair super tangly . When I washed it there was a lot of curl, but when I combed it, it was super frizzy and straight. It was very painful to comb as it had massive knots in it.. to the pointsome had to be cut out. I was letting my hair grow, but because of the awful knots and frizz I had to have quite a bit cut off. I haven't permed my hair myself in 30 years, but due to 5+months of COVID-19, I had to do something with my extremely paint brush straight hair. The directions are on the inside of the box which is very inconvenient. A simple paper insert would have better. I liked this product and it is the first time I used it. My hair did not dry out and frizz up as most perms do. I have longer hair and used it with the type of roller that does not need a clip rather than the perm rods. This might be the reason it did not frizz my hair, but I am very happy with the results.
