Apparently the style for teenage boys in our area is to look like Patrick Mahomes and my two genetically straight haired guys wanted perms during the early pandemic and now more girls are calling so every three months I am giving perms. Anyway, I've always bought a more expensive brand only because it came up first in the search. Well, this time it was unavailable so I bought this one. It doesn't smell nearly has harsh as the previous one and I don't know if I am getting better with the rollers or if this one has some sort of extra curl juice in it but my sons' hair looked curlier and nicer this go around. I used this perm on my hair that had not been permed for years. My hair is past my shoulders and not very thick. I didn’t have very good luck with this perm. I used the tangerine perm rods and left it on my hair for the recommended 20 minutes. I didn’t get much curl and the ends are frizzy. I’m not sure if my perm rods were too big or if it was the perm, itself. I have to wait two weeks now and perm again to get my desired curl. Hope this helps. Read more

I liked the result very much. I was a professional hairdresser for over 50 years so my expectations were very high. The result is a firm evenncurl that is very easy to manage with or without styling.Only negative comment: next time I use it I will be using a light conditioner first, giving my hair a thorough rinse, then winding and adding the perming lotion. My result left my hair a little rough so now conditioner is needed. To be fair though my hair is white and dry to start with.I will certainly buy it again.
