Though this set is super cute, the materials feel a tad cheap to me. The mirror's frame is extremely light plastic. It weighs so little that it doesn't have a good center of gravity. It's very easy to knock it over, even when it's propped up by the retractable leg on the back. Frankly, I'm not incredibly confident about the way it's constructed, as I suspect the glass was cut in a circle to fit the frame and then simply glued into place. The mirror lays totally flush with the frame and its jagged outer edges are visible from any indirect angle. Even if it just tipped forward on the counter, without a lip or anything to buffer it, the glass would likely shatter or even become dislodged.To be clear, I don't think it's necessarily bad quality or made poorly. It's about what you'd expect at this price range, and though I fear it may not prove durable in the long run, it's secure enough for now. The mirror does have holes built into the back, so hanging it up is an option, but personally I think it's too thick and bulky to go on a wall.As for the comb, the bunny-shaped handle is adorable and made from a rubbery material that's easy and comfortable to grip. The plastic end has thick teeth, and though finer teeth are more ideal for my hair type, it does the job. Some mild indentations are visible on the plastic in certain light, and the handle has a couple small dings and a tiny bit of excess rubber sticking out around the ears, but the comb looks pretty nice for the most part.This set is rather perfect for my pink and bunny-themed bathroom, so despite the flaws, I do like it. I like to be thorough in my reviews, but the price was pretty great for these two pieces. If they last awhile, I won't regret the purchase. Read more
