I use this on my legs - quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves - when I watch TV. I haven't had much luck working my own upper body with it - a little difficult because you can only use one hand.I would not say this replaces a massage. But it works well to loosen up muscles and just get some blood flowing. It's very convenient. Read more
I love this roller! Works extremely well to target stiff or sore muscles. Purchased on recommendation of physical therapist for hip replacement exercises. I use for about 10 minutes, pressuring upper thigh muscles to relieve stiffness. Really let's you target each muscle. I use this in conjunction with a stretch-out strap but find this roller helps so much better to massage specific muscles to relieve stiffness. Extremely light weight. GREAT if you have tight back muscles. You will need someone to help you if you want to fully enjoy this back roller. If you have sensitive skin like me I do recommend you wear a thicker shirt or wrap and string tie a shirt around the roller! This is great for people with sore muscles or back pain. You should always see a doctor for back pain and this tool with NOT cure it, but can help manage it. The roller stick was a lot harder than I thought. The material is very hard- but this makes it easy to clean and you can control the amount of pressure that is applied.
