I have chronic dry mouth and dry throat - cause unknown - maybe just old age. If I don't have one of these lozenges in my mouth, I will start coughing and cannot stop. How embarrassing and miserable. An individual lozenge pops out VERY easily (convenient during a luncheon meeting!). They adhere to the roof of the mouth (or to the surface of your choice). The advantages: you can eat, chew, swallow, talk with no problem. There is no risk of this lozenge going down the esophagus (the breathing tube); therefore, you can safely use it when going to sleep, or whenever you might take a sudden deep breath (fear, startle, hiccup, cough, ...). I purchased these as a recommendation from a Reddit post on dry mouth and they work great. Per the included instructions, I tuck a couple up on my gums before I go to sleep and they tend to last 3-4 hours before complete dissolved. Good for dry mouth overnight. It has a sticky side to stick to the side or roof of your mouth so that you won't accidentally swallow or choke on it in your sleep. Does not cause cavities or other dental issues. I wish it'd last all night however; by the middle of the night, it's all melted so that you may need another one. Read more
