BETTER AND LONGER SLEEP A study done by University of Sydney has found that a better night's sleep is achieved when sleeping in wool. Significantly finer than other types of wool, Merino is the perfect fiber to have next to child's sensitive skin. It breathes, regulates temperature, manages moisture, it is hypoallergenic, easy to care for, and durable. It is naturally perfect. I was very excited when I found this product. According to the description and most reviews, I would only need Woolino all through the year, which sounded great after having bought many sleeping sacks in the past 18 months, every time my son grew out of the size or he didn't seem comfortable temperature wise or the season changed. I had found it very difficult to find a perfectly comfortable sack because he always seemed to be either too hot or too cold. So having read the description of Woolino about how the material itself controls the temperature, investing $240 for 2 sacks seemed to be reasonable. However, it sadly didn't work as I expected... We live in LA where the temperature doesn't get drastically high or low, but he was too hot and sweaty in Woolino during the spring and the summer and I had to go back to our old HALO 100% cotton sleeping sack. Now it's the fall and he finally seems comfortable in Woolino. Our room temperature is usually 74-78f and I dress him in a long sleeve onesie when it's on the warmer side, and a long sleeve onesie + another long sleeve t-shirt when it's colder.I can't see Woolino would work during the winter although the temperature here rarely goes below 50f (our room temperature is usually 65-70f). He would be too cold in Woolino no matter how I dress him underneath it. I can still use them for the rest of the season and maybe at the end of the winter, but I'm not sure if it was worth $240... The fabric quality is excellent, but that’s where the functionality stops for me. It’s far too long for my 2 year old, making it heavy and cumbersome. My baby wakes up at night because he gets all twisted up in it. The worst part for me is how cumbersome it is to get it on my little one. It has 6 snaps around the top and in order to get your kid inside the sack, you first have to undo the entire zipper, separating the zipper sides. This means you then have to fiddle with the zipper to get the ends together and then zip up the ~2 ft. Zipper. Maybe this works for some... not with my crazy baby! He’s way too wiggly for this to be a functional sleep sack. The zipidee zip is infinitely easier to get your baby in and out of. I just wish they made a warmer version. My little one is also used to having his arms and hands inside the sleep sack. He hasn’t adjusted well to the freedom of this sack. It seemed like a good product in theory, but it just fails for me in nearly every regard. Read more

We finally had to upgrade from the 0-2 and I didn’t hesitate to buy another Woolino sleep sack. Although it’s pricey our last one was used every night for over a year so I think its totally worth it! And I’m hoping this big one will prevent our toddler from crawling out of the crib as long as possible. The only difference is the way the zipper works, for some reason on the 2-4 it starts at the bottom and I havent figured out why. Maybe it’s to put it on like a shirt? Or maybe it’s harder for them to take off?Either way, it’s an awesome product that helps my son sleep in any weather! Read more

While the sleepsack is nice and the material was breathable, it did not keep my baby warm. I still had to layer on the clothes (4 layers and that's no exaggeration) and I still found him to be cold and even had to use a blanket. Which negates the whole purpose of the sleepsack. Our thermostat is at 68 so its not like we live in the artic! I can't keep a product that costs 120$ when it didn't deliver on the main selling point-keeping baby warm. Returning product. Read more

These are expensive, but we're finding them to be a better value than the less expensive cottons ones because they're 4 season (here in South Carolina) and are long enough to outlast a few growth spurts. We found ourselves replacing the cotton ones from various other highly rated brands because they weren't long enough to last a long time. Also, he doesn't sweat in these like he would in the cotton, which seems counterintuitive because its wool, right? But the wool must be moisture wicking and better at temperature regulating. (God knew what he was doing when he made sheep!) Overall, a good purchase, and we expect he'll be using these for some time to come. Read more

I love wool products so I was super excited about this. Thought of it as a great investment. Unfortunately the wool keeps pilling and shedding. On top of that the snaps on the sides are extremely uncomfortable. When my child lays on her side on me, I feel those snaps and they are extremely painful, I can’t imagine how she feels. She also gets too hot. I tried to dress her down to just a shirt but I don’t want the pieces pilling and getting all over her. Not worth it.I contacted customer service. They said it was normal and it would go away. It hasn’t. Read more

We love this! We had the smaller size and our daughter outgrew it so we got this one. We do like the zipper better on the smaller size-it went from bottom to top. This zipper goes from under the arm to the bottom, so you have to line up the two sides and zip it and it just takes a little more time and effort with a wiggly toddler, but we still use this every night and are glad we bought it! I was hesitant to buy this because of the price but not having to buy varying tog sleep sacks for winter, summer, etc and not having to buy multiple sizes I think it’s totally worth it. We have been using this sack for a few months now and am glad we got it. Little man never wakes up too hot or too cold. Solid investment. Read more

Just received this for our 21month old son. He has slept in for both naps and bedtime for 2.5 days. So far so good! It's very soft, including the inside Merino Wool lining, and not itcy at all that you sometimes find with wool. The real test will be when 1) we launder it as it has more care instructions than our previous summer and down winter sleep sacks (which was wash and dry in the machine), and 2) when we transition into winter. It is very long which is great as our son can continue to use it over the next few years. We have used three sleep sacks since he was born, so if this truly is a four-season sleep sack, we love the idea of its longevity. It does come with a thermometer and clear instructions on how to dress your little one (ie diapers/underpants only, shirt only, full PJ's) depending on room temperature - although it is pretty obvious, it is appreciated as a consumer. I love these sleep sacks, but this particular one (2-4 years) has a one-way zipper on the side. This is highly inconvenient with the wriggly toddler! Read more
