How? I have spent my teen years and even some of my early twenty's (i’m still early twenty so up until a year ago) nuking my face with st ives. I’ve even “exfoliated” my face with a pumice stone (don’t even ask). But this. This is way too rough. Even with water and soap.It’s okay for my KP on my arms but even there its scratchy. I use this thing to clean my belly button now. It’s not that it’s rough, it’s just so scratchy. Where some parts of it feel like exposed needles that drag along the skin. I have very oily acne prone skin - yuck! So to keep it clean I have to literally take a layer of skin cells off my face daily or else, BREAKOUT! I've tried every scrub out there but none worked as good as these little sponges. Yes, they feel rough when they're dry, but you let them sit in water for a few minutes, add your favorite cleanser - for me it's a one with glycolic acid to help get those dead cells off my face - and gently scrub. Followed by toner, serum, moisturizer and BAM - no more breakouts! I've purchased these once before to try them since they were a cheaper alternative to the Buf Puff but found them to be too harsh and abrasive for the face. However, I use them for my body, mostly the rough areas like elbows and especially the feet. The main purpose is that they're very good at sloughing the dead skin off the feet. I found them good at scrubbing some caked on stuff from the cooking pots and are a very good alternative to Brillo pads, which can rust and have to be thrown out immediately. These don't rust and it's safer. I wouldn't advise using these on the face unless you have some very tough skin like leather but for the pots and pans they're great and will probably keep buying them at this price point. Read more

I have been using Buf Puf cleansing pads for a while and have had it on my subscribe and save. This month, I got a notice that it wasn't available. I searched for an alternative and found this. Unfortunately, this is too rough for my face and I cannot use it. I feel like I'm scratching up my skin instead of gently exfoliating. Maybe I can use it to scrub my knees and elbows instead? It will exfoliate your skin better than any other puff out there. It exfoliates better than my mia. But, it does not deep clean your pores. Just takes the dead skin off until you are smooth. Beware, It is much more abrasive than a normal store bought facial cleansing puff. I like it like that though. I use it to exfoliate my body and legs before shaving. Good alternative to the Buf-Pufs I have used in the past. These are about the size of my palm, which is nice for use on legs and body but bigger than what I prefer for my face: I cut a couple of these in half (easier to manage and then I have twice as many!). I don't find them too rough as some reviewers mentioned, but perhaps those with very sensitive skin might want to choose a scrubbing sponge with a finer weave on the fibers. Read more

These cleansing puffs work well at exfoliating your skin (I use mine on my face) but they don't last very long so it's good that they come in a pack of four. I continue to buy these even though they don't last long because for some reason it's so hard to find cleansing puffs like these in stores. And if you do manage to locate some they cost a lot more than these Wonder Wedges but last about the same amount of time. So if you don't mind replacing these frequently then I would say they're worth buying. Read more

I usually buy a Buf-Puf exfoliating sponge, believing the higher price meant better quality. And yes, a Buf-Puf does last longer than the exfoliating sponges I bought beforehand. But, the price was ridiculous. So, I saw these & thought "what the hell," I'll give them a try. Well, that was an inspired decision. The Wonder Puff Cleansing Puffs are the perfect size, density & texture. They last well, if left to dry naturally, and leave my skin feeling scrupulously clean & glowing. They really are that good. These work like you remember, but they are pretty harsh to use on your face. I've mostly switched to chemical exfoliation now, but these are still nice for a light buff once in a while. I mostly use them on my shoulders now. They do last a really long time! Read more

I was sent 2 sponges in an open package originally, (I ordered 4 as shown in description) contacted amazon, and they quickly sent a replacement, excellent service! I tried to use it on my face and it was too harsh. I tried to use it on my body in the shower, and again, too rough for ME. I won't be ordering this brand again.
