I was pleasantly surprised by this bun maker. I purchased a bun donut originally because all of the YouTube videos made it seem easy, but I just didn’t have the knack for it. This snap bracelet style bun maker was the answer to my frustration! It’s super easy to use and holds all day (mind you, I have very thick, long hair). I was worried it was going to be a challenge because my hair is layered, but my long layers were not a problem at all. I will be testing it on the dance floor at a wedding this weekend.The only tricky part to this bun maker is that it only snaps in one direction. You will roll your hair into it and realize it is not going to fold the direction you need it to, so you need to flip it and start over. Overall, great product! Read more
Super easy to use! I’m no good at stuff like this and bought it on a whim. To my surprise I rolled it right up on the first try. My only complaint is that once it’s rolled up it only bends one direction to make the bun. So if it’s the wrong direction you have to unroll it and flip it. Otherwise it’s great! Read more
This was my second time purchasing this product. I got it originally before going to the beach so the I could throw my hair in an easy bun and not have to deal with it. Well then, my goofy sister was playing with it, thought it was a slap bracelet and wripped the two pieces apart. After that, I started using it on my daughter who shows dogs so she could look cute and professional. Attached is a picture of her. Well her buddy wanted the same hairdo and knicked my other one. This is a waste. I have played with this thing countless times and no matter what, my bun looks like a rapid dog got a hold of me. My hair is just past my shoulders, without layers. My hair falls out of this no matter what I do. It’s impossible to get my hair all the way around so you can’t see the band, and even if I do, it falls out anyway. I was hoping this would elevate my look as a SAHM but nah, just a waste. Read more
OMG I freaking love this thing! My hair isn't long enough to put into a bun on its own but these bun makers are perfect!!!! There is a learning curve but took just a few minutes to get it down. It took a few tries, but finally made a nice hair bun with this product. Remember to tie hair into ponytail and arrange your hair to how you like it (such as pull out some hair wisps to frame your face), then use the bun maker. Trick is to roll the hair and end up snapping the bun maker AROUND the ponytail elastic. This makes a natural-looking bun. Read more

NOT great for long, thin hair. (My hair is long, like to your bra strap long, fine/thin) When I finished rolling the device into my ponytail and against my head and folding it into the bun, my hair all sunk to the bottom, exposing the device itself, and since it’s just rolling your ponytail, the “bun” flips and flops around. I even tried adding texturizer to my hair and I tried teasing it to give it more volume to make this work, I REALLY wanted an effortless hairstyle for nursing school. No dice. Read more

I wondered if these bun makers could work with my thick, long hair, they take a bit of practice, but yes one will roll up my hair into a neat bun, fab! I recommend watching a few YouTube videos on how to put these on your hair, but once you know, it’s fairly straightforward. I have a lot of hair, so I needed to clip my bun in place with a few bobby pins, but the bun does stay in place and is easy to undo too. Great idea for a quick and neat hairstyle that stays in place. Simple & easy to use, just got to make sure you work out which side up to use & that can take a few attempts. I make a pony tail first & as as my hair is mid length it was easier if I wet down the pony tail a bit to keep it all in better. Really pleased & will be using on my beach holiday in a few weeks.
