This is a lovely set of 5 hair clips. Our view is they have a vintage sense about them. They are probably best suited for younger ages. The materials and construction are good quality. Some are designed with a whimsical touch, which brought a smile to the significant other. She thought they looked very cute.These would be excellent additions to a girls’ gift bag for a birthday party.They have attractive designs, decent materials and competent manufacture. I wouldn’t place them in the premium jewelry category, but they represent themselves well as costume jewelry/barrettes. The significant other took one barrette (the one with one round black, two 'pearls' and black rectangular piece) and affixed it in her hair. Looks very nice, actually. So, it's not just for very young girls (I may have phrased that poorly, she's still very young, too, haha).It's is reasonably priced for 5 attractive barrettes. Attached are photos to show real world images of the barrettes.We think these would be appreciated and enjoyed. I couldn't believe what these were when I opened the package.Some clips are sharp black metal, some are gold colored metal, also sharp teeth, some are gold with black satin ribbon glued on. No two are the same. The decorations are awful, like whatever was at the bottom of a sack from the donation bin. Color-misses on almost every component, which are strange plastic scrapbooking charms. One looks like a miniature dogtag with blood-type only, with a plastic pearl on top of that. Seriously the weirdest thing I have received in a long time.Just say no to useless garbage like this. Even if they were free (they were), I can't recommend this set of hair clips at all for any price, since I'm on the hook to dispose of the clips and the packaging.They are so whack they won't even keep a chip bag closed, lol. The hair clips range in size from 2 to about 3 inches long. Each one is unique and incorporates black and gold colors. All but one have some sort of pearl featured.The clips all hold in place well but they do have some sharper edges. Not sharp enough to cut paper but sharp enough for me to not want to put them in my 22 month olds hair.There are some small random hot glue gun blobs and strings visible upon inspecting but nothing that anyone would really notice when this is in my hair.For the price I feel this is a pretty good deal for cute unique hair accessories. These are beautiful and elegant with just a little pearls. It stays on well until I take them out of my hair. The good news is that they aren't so tight that they pull out my hair with them. Since they are all different there seems to be one to go with everything. The only thing I would like different would be if there were matching pairs for symmetry. I was super excited to try these hair clips. The designs of them are very fun and I love the black and gold combination. However there are major flaws especially with the glue throughout all of them. One of the rose is completely faded compared to the other rose hair clip. The teddy bear came with splotches of tarnish all over it. Overall I would have rated this higher if there was better quality control because these were very sloppy with their glue and minor flaws.
