Potential Danger. My 15 month old got this toy 7 days ago and I found her on the floor tonight putting beads in her mouth. Can't find the connector. Did she swallow it? I won't know until tomorrow. I'm unsure how she undid it, but she did. The toy has a lot of activities, but you must supervise while using this toy!!! Read more

I was hesitant to purchase this toy because all the 5 star reviews seemed suspicious but... my 12-month-old really loved it even before we put batteries in. There are all kinds of little things to interact with, lights, sounds, stuff to pull, a hammer to take out. I’m kinda surprised that he likes it so much as he generally prefers non-toys (Tupperware, pots, pans, etc.) but this toy actually keeps him entertained for a good 20-min period! I could not give this item as a gift. I had purchased it intending to give it for a a one-year-old's first birthday, but upon opening the box and looking the toy over, I could see there was absolutely no educational or play value in the product. The child would have been totally bored with the gift and her mother would have had a ~one-foot square, useless item taking up space in the toybox. She has an activity table (which was very helpful when she was learning to stand) that has better versions of these activities, plus more options.; it was a hand-me-down from her big sister. This is an amazing intreactive toy for infants It has so many different activities, songs, lights, volume is decent but there isn't a setting to turn it down a bit. It does come with a few pieces that either aren't attached or can be detached BUT they are large items so no worries regarding infant choking but of course infant should be monitored anyway. MY 9 soon to be 10month old has had an awesome time, even though short timed, playing with this toy and discovering all the features and reaction to his touch. In my opinion it is great for helping developed motor skills. This product takes three AA batteries THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED be sure to purchase batteries for this toy. Bought this for my 9month old grandson. Couldn’t find any info on recommended age before purchase. It came with a recommendation that I’ve forgotten but was older than reviews seemed to indicate, like one year old. Grandson loves the phone and hammer best now but my 3year and 6year old granddaughters love it. My daughter says it’s in active play area since given at Easter. I like handles. I purchased this toy for my grandson’s 1st Birthday, after failing to connect with his dad this had been sitting in my room for over a month with my 2 year old granddaughter asking to play with it daily. I finally gave up and gave this one to my granddaughter, she proceeded to bang on it, sing into it and all around play toddler DJ with it for almost an hour. The look of surprise on her face when it made an engine sound was thebest! She has continued to play with it everyday since I gave it to her. One of the things I love about this play center is, with all the activities it does there are only 2 removable parts, a little telephone and the hammer. You can still do all the activities if those parts should go missing but so far she has returned them to their places every time. One thing I would warn parents and caregivers about is the head on the hammer doesn’t have any padding or give, like most hammers for small children. My head got in the way as the hammer was coming down and I still have a sore spot. My granddaughter has pounded on this toy for the last week and there still isn’t a mark on it. I very seldom buy toys that require batteries, I prefer toys that run on imagination but I’m very happy with this purchase.This was a terrific purchase and I not only recommend it to others, I have already purchased it again myself! When I saw how much fun my granddaughter had with it, I had Amazon send it to my grand baby, I know he and his brothers will have a good time. I purchased this toy for my grranddaughter's first birthday and I have to admit I was not that impressed with it immediately- since we had not put the batteries in yet- and it seemed maybe batteries were not necessary- because many of the gizmos on it worked without batteries. My granddaughter, Mia, liked it immediately however. She automatically began fiddling with all the gadgets on to see what it would do- and so I thought- well- I guess it appeals to the person that really matters! But once we put in the batteries, my view and everyone else's view of the toy changed very quickly. This thing has so many things on it that a one year old can be amused by, it is amazing. Mia loves it! She loved it the first day and still loves it and plays with it - along with the help of her 7 year old sister- and almost anyone else that gives it a moment's notice. If you are looking for a sturdy, fascinating toy for a child who is in the toddling stage- this one is something I think you will be glad you purchased. It isn't so big that it takes up a lot of space- but it has lots of intriguing things that a small child will know somehow, instinctively how to make "do it's thing".
