My toddler is not your typical tot; he is in love with his Dad's horror movie memorabilia and is always devastated when he can't take it with him in the bath - so I set out to find him the perfect bath toy when I stumbled upon this amazing duck! It is exactly what I was looking for and he LOVES it! I know it is meant as a novelty item but I have to review it for what we got it for and my 21 month old who currently cuddles Pennywise and Chucky and who had "Freddy the Facehugger" as his first stuffed animal is obsessed with his duck. Our household absolutely loves these Wild Republic bath ducks. We have a 2 year old and a 6 year old and they both have a few each. They make good stocking/Easter basket stuffers.They're super good quality, very sturdy and the paint stays on them for awhile (they smash into each other a lot now so it rubs off).They're the only kind of bath animal we keep in the tub anymore because they don't have the holes in them that collect mold.I couldn't recommend these toys enough!If the review or pictures were helpful to you, please let me know. This poor little guy's tail is definitely not how it should be positioned. It's all about the TAIL in a peacock. The tail is glued in at such a forward angle, it looks like an umbrella over his back. At first I thought it was flattened down from storage, but no. I would have been okay with re-gluing it in, but the separate tail part would have to have some of the base cut away to fit at the proper angle.Even if it were correctly positioned, it's only about as high as his head...NOTHING like the picture!And for people actually ordering it for use in water, it HAS a hole in the bottom that they plugged up to make it "Mold Safe". I collect rubber duckies and the ones who can float upright get to summer in my pool. Sadly, the purple octopus duck flops over to the side. She's in the pool temporarily to see if she can learn, but I have serious doubts. Luckily. my house is purple so her hue is giving her an advantage. It's also helpful that she doesn't sink. I'm a rubber duck collector, I know ducks. And this, my friends, is one fine duck.I'm really impressed by the details, especially for a 5 buck duck! There's just so much going on with this little guy. The coloring is exceptionally zombie-like (it's like a sickly blue-green color), and they really nailed the blood drips. The only part I don't like is the brains, they're a bit too purple but it's whatever. You can see in my pic there's a bit they missed on the tongue that I might hit with some acrylic paint but considering the texture of this thing I think they did a killer (heh) job on paint. Solidly made. Overall just a great, great duck.I also bought the unicorn one but haven't gotten that one yet. I might have to snap up the rest of the collection if the zombie is any indication of the quality of these ducks. Read more

The toy is cute...once cleaned it up with antibacterial wipes! It arrived covered in black marks. I wasn't sure if I would be able to clean it or not. Luckily, after about 10 minutes with antibacterial wipes, I was able to get the black marks off of it. When I opened the box and saw it, the dragon looked gross; I did not want to touch it without gloves! It cleaned up and is cute. But, beware, the item may arrive looking disgusting and need a bit of time to clean before allowing any little person to touch or play with it! Read more

I bought the giraffe, the zebra, and the elephant. I was skeptical by looking at the pictures. The pictures do not do them justice. They are super cute and well made. I was very happy with this purchase. I plan on using them in a punch bowl for a safari theme baby shower and then let the new baby have them for his bath. The price was great. They came fast. My 2.5 year old daughter was pretty upset when the dig ate the beak off her other rubber duck. She picked this unicorn duck and could not wait for it to come in the mail! I have to say, this is the cutest rubner duck I have ever seen! No hole in the bottom so it doesn't fill with water and then get moldy. Only downside is the paint on the unicorn horn is rubbing off, but other than that it's great! It even got to join the prestigious sleeping club with the 4 favorite stuffed animals that she has to have in her bed every night! Read more

This could have been a good idea for fans of decorative bath rubber duckies, especially within the new silly trend of making ducks out of other animal species, which is very productive and funny. The colours and the general makeup and expression are not bad at all. However, this one is badly and sloppily realised: instead of the duck being moulded in one piece, as is always the case, it it made of two halves (the top, with the head, and the bottom, which supports the tentacles) which are very sloppily joined together: the connecting joint between the two pieces, who appear stuck with glue, is terribly conspicuous and unsightly. What a hilariously frustrating scenario to find yourself in, trying to buy a single rubber duck for less than £5 from the world's largest retailer. No I don't want a pack of 50, or limited edition Avengers ducks. Having settled on this, it arrives with a disfigured eye (the only noticeable part) and upon use, it doesn't really float (hook makes it flop to the side). I'm awarding this a second star just for being the single cheapest duck I could find, but as the two things it needs to do are 'look like a duck' and 'float', this does neither, so still a waste in my view.
