I've tried many plastic table stands for my mannequin heads that don't work NOWHERE as good as this one. 1st off, this STAYS IN PLACE!Unlike the plastic ones, where I had to readjust on the table's edge several times while trying to maneuver to style/color hair, this one doesn't move as easily once secured down. I had to maybe readjust the tightness 1-2 times (on this one) but not nearly as much as I had to with the cheaper plastic table stands (too many times to count).The fact that you can adjust the height (to 18 inches high ) makes this table stand worth it (even at 2x the price, currently $24). You generally can not adjust those other cheap plastic table stands’ height and they tend to move around like crazy even when locked (they will still slide off the table edge in its locked position). This is a really nice heavy duty wig clamp. I when I say heavy duty, I really mean heavyweight , mostly all metal and works so much better than this plastic ones. It has an adjustable stem that lets me rise the wig to eye level when I’m sitting down. No more hunching over for me! And it clamps to my table so much better than my plastic one. Bought as a supplement for my cosmetology kit- I like it way more than the one that came in my kit.- I’m a hairstylist who is currently finishing up my education, and I wish I’d bought this sooner. I’m 5’7.5” with a long torso, and always found myself having to slightly bend or use poor posture to cut/style manikins in class- which will wreak havoc on your body very fast!! Anyways, since buying this- I’ve been able to maintain good posture.It’s easy to adjust and I find that I can always accommodate whatever haircut I’m performing from 0 to 180 degrees and everything in between!Its sturdy and easy to manipulate- either twist it to its tightest setting and the manikin will stay put or you can loosen so that you can turn your manikin as you would in a chair at the salon- that way you maintain proper ergonomic form and get solid results! I was really excited about this stand. I really was. But as you can see in my pictures, they sent me wrong parts and I can’t even properly put the stand together. The middle part is supposed to have two holes in the middle for me to build the rest of the stand and there’s only the one hole at the bottom of the middle attachment. The wig head came with a short, plastic clamp stand that was was far too short and flimsy. This tall metal clamp stand fits my wig head, raises to the perfect height and feels very sturdy. The only modification I needed to make was to add a non-slip stick-on pad to the bottom clamp. This sucker doesn't move. Perfect for styling. Read more

Even though I’m only 5’1, there are certain things that when we use the mannaquin I’m still too tall for or to short for so I wanted to get this so I don’t hurt my back. When I got it, it came broken… it didn’t work it didn’t stick too the table nothing.
