Ok first let me start off with saying that it came in a really nice zip sealed bag! My only problem about the wig head is that the smell of the wig head itself is terrible! It smells up the area wherever it is. That’s how strong it is. I tried to air the head out on it’s own for a couple of days and still nothing! I tried to look up some helpful tips on how I could get that strong plant corky smell out of the wig head and I couldn’t find anything helpful! So I rubbed lots of dryer sheets that you use for laundry on the head shown in the picture I posted here. And to really let the dryer sheets smell sink into the strong plant smell of the wig head, I wrapped the dryer sheets all over the wig head and taped it up to seal in the fragrance smell of the dryer sheets and let it sit for a couple of days, and now unwrapped from the tape and dryer sheets the SMELL IS ALL GONE! I am so disappointed because I was so excited to get this item. Opening the box it smelled weird but I brushed it off. The item is packaged in I ziplock bag and again in a smaller plastic bag. My new wig Delivery was delayed and then The salon I purchased it from needed to Customize the sizing manually; which means I didn’t start wearing it until late August.I have just started keeping my wig on the manikin head when not wearing it in late August.Obviously The wig didn’t have a smell to it at all as it was brand new.Last week I went to put it on after about five days of not wearing it, and it smelled awful musty!However , I didn’t detect a smell to the manikin head until today as I started keeping the Wig on my wig drying frame rack.Today I decided to test it, when I walked over to the manikin head and smelled it; sure enough! The manikin head has the most odorous musty smell.The problem?I am past the return date!I certainly can’t use a manikin head that makes my wig smell, nobody wants smelly hair right? I bought this to make my wig making and extension dying easier. It does make it alit easier except i bought the head way too big. However it is an advantage because i like the adjustable bands in mine abd having the extra inches means i can make the wigs as tight or loose as i like. I do recommend putting some sort of plastic barrier over the head ,as its a canvas like material, before dying a wig on it. Really good product, as a drag queen I have a bigger head and went with the 24" - all my wigs fit on it perfectly and allow me to style them on this wig stand. Everything looks good and works fine. The only issue I have with it is that is smells moldy. I thought I could spray it and let it air out but it’s been 2 months and it still smells really bad. I should have followed my instincts and returned it right away. And not I’m past the date to return it. 8 tried covering it with a thick plastic but when you use pins and secure the wig to the head it just creates an opening for the stench to come out. It arrived on time and natches discription and pictures perfectly. Unfortunately the MOLD smell throughout the head is nauseating and allergy enducing is migraine causing.
