Where do I start? It blows my mind how many fake products are sold on Amazon. As soon as I got this brush (purple) I've noticed the thin and frail bristles, nothing like the o.g. I opened the box and it feels way lighter than the O.G, also the handle is flat unlike the wet ig is ergonomic.Mine (green) is more than a year old and is still intact, the one I got here on amazon does not look like is going to hold or even untangle for that matter.Very very dissapointed, amazon needs to step up or I won't even renew my prime, not worth it. This says it is an original wet brush but I own several and it is nowhere near as soft. :( This is either a fake or just what they didn't want to send to stores because I went to the store to see if maybe the wet brush product changed but the ones in store are soft. I don't understand why this has such good ratings. This is a fake Wet Brush! I own a Wet Brush so I know what it should be like. I wanted to replace mine because it is starting to get worn out. A real Wet Brush has soft bristles and can actually brush your hair while it's wet without snagging. The bristles on this brush are very hard and it snags my hair. Okay, guys, imma lay it down for you:I bought this brush the other day on somewhat of a whim. I saw it advertised through Facebook and was obviously drawn in by how cute it was. But then I read the reviews about how easily and relatively painlessly it brushes through tangles. Since quarantine I haven’t been straightening my hair or really even maintaining it, which has lead to some pretty gnarly tangles, especially because I am WAY overdue for a trim, so brushing that out has been an ordeal. I JUST ran this brush through my hair and OH MY GOD does it live up to its reputation! I scoffed when I freed it from the packaging, foolishly assuming its bristles were to weak to tame my mane. Bought this for my great-granddaughter (age 5) whose hair is almost to her waist. Brushing her hair was always a dreaded nightmare, regardless if her hair was wet or dry. I'm not sure why this brush works but it is like a miracle. It goes through her hair unbelievably easy, wet or dry. All tangles brush out easily. All screaming, crying, running away and major meltdowns when it was time to brush her hair have stopped. Like I said before, it's like a miracle. Whole family is happy! Read more

I am updating this review in 10/2019 and changing my rating to 1-star because ...10/2019: I originally purchased this brush in 08/2017, use this brush regularly but not that often ... maybe 1x a week ... and just took a look at it! Two years later!So, this brush has always hurt my scalp. I never wondered why (dumb) because I figured it was something to do with the full-size, which is more rigid ... and instead I just tend to use the mini-size, which I also purchased. Do you know why it hurts my scalp? Because, on the brush I purchased from Amazon, most of the rounded brush tips ARE GONE. And it's not because of using the brush over the course of two years (please, believe me). This brush has sorta-hurt my scalp from day one. Kind of an "invigorating yet slightly painful" feeling when using it ... and I think it's because I got a defective one and never noticed it. Dumb. I didn't think to check it, and I just didn't notice the missing tips because I bought an all-black brush, where everything- the bristles, the tips, the cushion, the handle- all parts are black. But I should have taken a closer look at the bristles. No rounded tips: no wonder it hurts.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This would have received 5 stars if I lost zero hairs ... but I guess that's unrealistic! I can't figure out with complete certainty whether it yanks out less fresh-from-the-shower hair than either my large Denman paddle brush or my wooden detangling comb from the Body Shop ... but I *think* it does.I also bought two of the "mini" version of this brush, which I found for $3 each at Marshall's. Both the "mini" and regular-sized Wet Brushes make regular appearances at my local Marshall's, by the way, for a price that's a couple bucks cheaper than Amazon. I use one mini at the gym, and I think I like it better than the regular size. While it is a little bit awkward to hold, the bristles are so bendy and flexible that they don't tug at my hair at all. It takes me more strokes to get through the tangles and, you know, comb my hair ... but the process is pretty painless and I think it is easier on my hair. I gave the other mini to my 5yo sister-in-law, whose daily hair sessions involve many tears, and early reports are that- MIRACLE OF MIRACLES- the brush has helped! I used it to comb her hair once, and there were no issues involving crying/ yelling/ protesting- but that might be partly due to the novelty of a new person doing her hair. I'm not her multi-tasking busy momma, after all, and I could devote the luxury of more time to gently brush her hair ... so the peaceful process wasn't TOTALLY due to the brush. I've got really curly hair which gets knotty as I don't brush it until it is being washed, otherwise I'm just left with a head of frizz. Bought this because I normally use a wide tooth comb for getting rid of knots, I'm hair sore and a wimp to boot.This brush took not even one minute and knots were gone. My hair even felt very smooth. My hairdresser recommended this brush to me as I was having a hard time detangling my wet hair (I've recently gone blonde and it's so much harder to detangle!). I was thinking of getting a tangle teezer but my hairdresser suggested this would be better. I'm actually so impressed I've started using it as my normal hairbrush! Wet Brush - I have two daughters, 9 and 11 years old... my 11 year old is hair sore and always flinched and a lot of the time cried when I did her hair. I got her the wet brush pro and my youngest... this brush.This brush is good however the wet brush pro superseeds the normal one. It's ok to hold but the pro feels lovely. It is better to grip and a bit chunkier than the normal wet brush.My eldest hasn't flinched once since we started using thie wet brush pro! Truly does work magic! She's no where near as hair sore and we've had no tears si ce switching brushes. Honestly... money well spent, pay the extra and get the pro! It look great !It`s Ok , you still have to patiently work your way up from the bottom of the hair , whilst holding the rest with your other hand to prevent tugging .My 9 year old say`s it feels better & She can use it herself , I still have to go over it to remove knots She has missed . Read more

This brush was recommended to me by a professional hairdresser as I have super thick hair which keeps breaking at the end. It glides through my hair and eases the knots out without a problem. Much better than the paddle brush I was using before. Also leaves a lovely shine to my hair. Read more
