Read more What to Prepare Wella colorcharm Permanent Liquid 5WR & 7WR , bowl & brush, gloves, towel, old t-shirt , protective barrier cream (like coconut oil) and a timer. Mixing and Applying All- over color: 1. Section the hair in 4 quadrants by creating a centered part from forehead to nape and from ear to ear. 2. Mix 1 part WELLA colorcharm liquid 5WR + 7WR with 2 parts 20 vol. developer* 3. Starting at the crown. Take a ½ inch horizontal sections and start applying 1 inch off the scalp through the ends and working towards the nape. Repeat in each quadrant, finishing in the front sections. Process 10 minutes. Do not rinse. *Mix 1:2 ratio (for example 1oz 5WR + 1oz 7WR= 2 oz. 20 vol. developer) Continue Application & Process 4. Apply all over the roots. Process for additional 30 minutes. I recently bleached my hair and didn’t like that you could tell it was obviously bleached but still liked how light of a blonde it was. I wanted to tone my hair and make it into a light ash blonde, so got this Wella dye in 10A/1030. I put it on and left it for 30 minutes and love the results! I included a before picture and two after pictures: one in artificial yellow lighting in my bathroom at night, and one in natural lighting coming from the sun shining in my bedroom from the window during the day. My hair is still nice and light, but looks like a more natural blonde as opposed to that obvious bleach blonde. Exactly what I was hoping for! Read more
I used half this and half T18 to get my hair to a nice beige sandy blonde. I was afraid to use only this because it would be too gold blonde and I’m glad I mixed it. When I received this, I had already arranged for a baby sitter and was set to color my hair. The box was discolored and not sealed. Against my better judgement and because I might not get another time to do my hair for a while, I trusted that maybe something spilled on it. It made most of my hair fall completely out and the remaining hair is blue. This was clearly a return and intentionally tampered with. I’ll get the stuff from Sally’s from now on. Read more

SO: I have naturally level 4 brown hair that was balayaged to a beautiful ash brown (level 8). As the toner faded, my hair turned really brassy and required a ton of upkeep with frequent Demi-toners.I hated the upkeep and thought that if I used this permanent dye with the wella color charm activating lotion designed for Demi permanent toners (vol 6 developer), maybe I could achieve this ashy brown color permanently without it lifting my non-balayaged hair.WRONG: this stuff will lift all of your hair, all on its own because of the ammonia content, regardless how low of a developer you use. This stuff is also super permanent; it will not wash our with a sulfur / reducing wash like ‘color oops’ products designed to remove permanent dye.I also found that although my hair stayed at a level 7 permanently, it still turns warm after a month or so. I now have to use level 6 or level 5 Demi’s to keep the brass away. Read more
