I purchased this to fit snacks of a certain size that need to be kept cold for a morning snack. The advertised size is 8.31 x 4.41 x 0.91 inches, and from the picture I shared you can see it's much smaller. Not only that, but it wasn't insulated.As others have mentioned, this is also not insulated.I'd say they're two small pencil cases, except that a freshly sharpened pencil won't fit unless you go corner-co-corner. These are really nice. Unlike the typical "reclosable" plastic bag, these have a real zipper. So they stay closed when you close them and they are easy to open. I've tried various plastic bags that are intended for storing snacks and they are very frustrating to get open. Long before the CV-19 hit, I had the habit of washing my hands before eating (well, OK, I had that habit before going to kindergarten). Having wet or moist hands has clashed with my ability to open those frustrating plastic bags (which also do not reclose very easily).These are not waterproof. I filled one with water and water does drip out (much more slowly than I expected). But they can hold a moist snack. If you take a trip by car or train, you can pack a cooler with food and use these for individual portions. For example, cooked sweet potato slices in one, nuts and seeds in another, and (if you eat meat) finger-sized meat chunks in another. Taking your cat on a trip? These are perfect for holding kibble.These are also sized just right to put in your computer bag or other carry on if you want to bring your own food onto the plane.While they can't replace plastic bags 100%, they can replace them in many uses. These are sturdy little bags but they're more like pencil pouches than snack bags. They aren't insulated like the listing says. They aren't waterproof or anything so I'm my opinion they're for things like pretzel sticks, not grapes. They're very well made though. I received the Waves of Change Insulated Recycled Plastic, Snack Pouch-Set of 2.I have the matching Waves of Change Insulated, medium sized Lunch Bag, so I wanted these Snack Bags to go with it.I found that for keeping all my food in the Lunch Bag cold enough, it worked out better to just put everything, including any cold snacks like carrot or celery sticks, or string cheese, in plastic baggies and food containers directly into the main Lunch Bag, without the using any of the matching Pouches in it.Now I just use the matching Pouches, like these Snack Pouches, for my make-up and small items in my purse instead.I do think these Snack Pouches are a bit overpriced, but I like them for use in my purse. These are such cute little bags! I generally prefer the transparent bags, so I can see what's in them (these ones actually look a bit like a pencil case), but these are definitely a bit sleeker looking than your average snack pouch.I was planning to use them for my husband's lunches, but since he's been working from home for a while, I've simply been using them to store lemon and lime halves. This saves me from wasting little plastic baggies every time I want to put half a lemon back in the fridge. The snack pouches are pretty small, but I've found I can store 3 lemon/lime halves in one at a time.Once my husband starts going to work again, I'll likely purchase some of these bags in additional sizes, so I can also pack his sandwich and other lunch items! I've got the matching lunch bag, so I figured I'd go ahead and get the matching snack pouches as well. I am really into reusable products like this these days. WOnderful for avoiding the waste we make every week, as well as saving money over time by not buying more plastic products that clog up our seas and litter the earth. These pouches are really pretty and can actually be used for storing anything--not just snacks. They'd make a nice little make-up bag, or they'd be great just for odds and ends in your purse. But of course, they are intended for snack, and that does work well here--cookies or crackers, even granola or Skittles could be stored in these. You get two and they are pretty. Read more
