Effective and useful for oral health. Complements flossing and recommended by my dentist. The brush comes with a small travel case for on the road but you’ll need to know the brush cannot be recharged by itself. I don’t yet know how long it will last on a single charge. Once I determine this I’ll update my review.Update: As promised, here's my opinion after 9 months of usage. Up until this month, I would have kept my rating high as everything I mentioned before continues to hold true. However, as of this writing (Apr 2020) the toothbrush has quit. The battery, as of last week, stopped accepting a charge. I continued to use the unit, unplugging it and replugging it back in, in hopes of maybe resetting the toothbrush's battery. As of yesterday morning, it quit altogether. For approximately $100 paid for this unit, I would expect the following: 1) longer lifetime usage. 2) if the batteries fail, the ability to purchase just what I need to continue using this product. So far, I don't see a replacement option available as of yet for either the toothbrush unit itself, or a replacement battery.I've written an email to the reseller who sold me this unit respectfully asking for what my options are at this point. If/once they respond, I'll update my review again at that time. Until then, I've adjusted my overall rating to 1 star as a warning to those looking to spend high-end dollars for a toothbrush. At this time, the water-pik feature continues to operate normally.Update #2: No word from the reseller but after some research I decided to place a call to Water-Pik customer service. They had me go through a couple brief troubleshooting steps and we discovered that the motor on the water-pik is not turning on in addition to the toothbrush handset acting as though it's attempting to charge (series of 3 lights in sequence - like a car's exterior turn-signal indicator). The customer service agent put in an order for a replacement unit to be shipped right out. I've upgraded my over-all rating from 1 star to 3 stars now. I'd stairway from this one. I've had Waterpiks for years and this one is not the quality of the others. For example, in the past I could charge the toothbrush and take it (along with a portable washer) on vacation without recharging. Not this one, it will no longer make it even a day. When I first got it I was suspicious because it would lose half of its charge on a single brushing. Worst electronic tooth brush ever. Even though it states it’s designed for small spaces they put a super cheep battery in the brush that burns out if you leave it on the charger. If I have a small vanity and I am not suppose to stowe the brush on the charging caddy where am a I suppose to store it? Amazon...every complaint is about this battery. I'm not going to talk about rotation or brush speeds. I had tried similar products before and they ended up under the sink. Even with cleanings every 3 months, the gum pockets remain so I thought I would try again. The unit has a small footprint. I was able to find the dual unit for $66.00 with coupons and promotions at K***'s. The same price as the most electric toothbrushes alone. I like the compactness, and it appears easy to keep clean. The water reservoir has an attached lid, I cannot find any joints in the toothbrush that would collect water and or mold. After using the unit for just a few days, my teeth feel cleaner. The toothbrush has 3 speeds, using the clean speed reminds me of the dental polisher. My teeth feel "dental visit" clean. The waterpik is no more or no less messy to use than any other, it's all about figuring the technique to keep from spraying the bathroom. The unit comes with multiple toothbrush heads so it can be shared and various heads for the waterpik. I am happy with this unit.Update 1/17. I still use the toothbrush, and hated being on vacation without it. I don't use the waterpik part as often, maybe once a week with flossing everyday. I need to get back to it. HOWEVER, over the weekend while changing the toothbrush head I managed to snap the attachment shaft. This morning I called waterpik and they are sending me a brand new complete unit for free. I love WaterPik. Just not this one or the seller. This is my third WaterPik product and usually I use and abuse them for two or three years and then upgrade but this one has not even lasted me six months without falling apart and leaking. but the worst part is, because it’s purchased from a third-party it’s not covered by the manufacture warranty. So I ordered this product and I love it but it doesn't come with toothbrush cap covers. I called the Waterpik company and ask them if I could purchase covers for the toothbrushes they said they don't just have those laying around for sale that they come with certain brushes and don't come with others. I explained that this toothbrush has to stay on the unit in order to charge which means is going to be sitting out in the bathroom and I thought it was unhygienic not have covers she said that there was nothing she could do about it was rather a grouchy.
