Before having the Nanny extender i used a piece of wood to have the gate tight between the hallway. I use my gate to keep 3 dogs out of the living room. Dogs like to push on the gate to try and get in. Overtime gate moves forward which scratches the walls. With the Nanny extender i have that extra inch to keep the gate tight to the wall. It really is a good product, it isn’t as tacky as I thought it was gonna be though I wish it could take less space. I have one complaint and one suggestion: the extenders come with a hole in the middle, I’m assuming to put a screw through and secure them to the frame—which I intended to do—but they come with no screws and, for the price, I really wish they did include them. Exactly what we needed! We bought a Regalo gate but we could not get it to fit securely. I guess our doorway is an awkward size? The extension the gate comes with was too wide. And without it, we had to extend the rods almost all the way out, which made the gate wobbly. We tried the regular wall protectors and those still did not help as the rods still had to come out too far. These worked perfectly! The gate feels very secure now. I liked that it allowed for greater stability and pressure for my gate...I did have an issue with the rubber coming out of the mold on back when trying to move it into position....it should be deeper in the grooves to stay in better. I could not use the other 2 on the bottom because of the molding, perhaps your 4 pack should be 2 4-inch and 2 2.5 inch so all 4 can be used. 2 are staying in the bag.....Aside from that, works as described.UPDATE 6/2/20I lowered a star because the seller wouldn't work with me to send me two 2.5 pieces, because the 4 inch pieces won't work on all four pressure points. Everybody's wall are different, I have molding on the bottom and my gate's screw is extended as far as it can go without coming out. I contacted seller and can see no reason NOT to make the customer happy, I'd send back the two 4 inches for two 2.5 inches to complete my setup, but they said they only sell them in 4 packs....these were 16 dollars and I can't use 2 of them. $13 more for four 2.5's? 29 dollars for 8 Wall Nanny's? I have a very wide opening 60.5 inches that I was trying to put a gate across for my new puppy. I had a hard time finding a gate and extension to cover this distance. The one I bought said it extended to 36.5 inch and the extension I got said 24 inch so I should have been ok. Problem was the spindles were at their max and then couldn't support the gate. I got these to give me 4 extra inches. It made all the difference and the added bonus it allowed me to install the gate without drills and screws. I was installing on my own and if I laid the gate down, I was able to actually install this on my own. I wouldn't have been able to do that with trying to drill. Very happy. Read more

Our Regalo baby gate was barely long enough to reach our walls so the gate was very unstable. We looked for options to extend our gate a couple inches instead of buying a new gate. We found the Wall Nanny which helped extend our gate 4 inches. Now our gate easily reaches the walls and is much more stable. We tried pushing and pulling it and it seems to be holding very well. These are the BEST! Our gate was slightly too narrow for the entry to our stairs, making it incredibly unstable. Even in our last house where it was plenty wide enough, it would still move when my baby pushed on it, because the end cap pads are too smooth and slippery. This product added a few inches and they are incredibly grippy. Our gate is much more stable, even with our baby pushing on it and trying to climb on it. Just received my order yesterday and used it with my Regalo Easy Step 38.5-Inch Extra Wide Walk Thru Baby Gate. The doorway I was using the gate for is 34 inches wide (excluding the trim at the base). The Regalo gate is listed as fitting a 29-34 inch doorway and includes a 6-inch extender. Without the extender, the pressure mounting screws are just at the very end and the gate is very wobbly. With the extender, the gate is too wide and won't fit. Enter these Wall Nanny Extenders and now the gate is perfect! The pressure mounting screws are secure and the gate doesn't wobble. The rubber no-slip backing on these extenders helps keep the gate in place without damaging my walls. Very happy with my purchase! Read more

The wall Nanny Extender was exactly what I needed.I had a wide door entrance 93cm so just did not fit a standard gate.I ended up buying a gate with a 9cm extender but this would have not been wide enough but a 21cm extender too big.By using 2 of the wall nanny extenders (1 side only) I had exactly what I needed but initially quite fiddley to fit. I have cable tied the 9cm extender onto the gateIts not a gate that is going to be permanently up so I have screwed the nanny wall extender to the frame on the side of the door where it is not a problem for it to stand out proud. This would be a problem on the other side if the gate was not in place.As I said it was exactly what I needed but I do think quite expensive especially if you only need to use 2 out of the 4.I would recommend for its sturdiness if its what you need. We got a Lindam Easy Fit stair gate but had an issue with our skirting board on the stairs having a gap measurement of 81cm and the walls having a gap of 90cm, so the official extensions wouldn't work for us as they come in 7cm adjustments and you have to use them for both the top and bottom pressure points.The Wall Nanny Extender is great as you can either use them for all four pressure points or just the ones you need. In our case we just used them for the top two. It is very sturdy, the stair gate doesn't move at all even if I put a lot of force into it so I completely trust it with my toddler.No installation is required, just place them between the stair gate pressure points and the wall and you're sorted! They also protect the walls really well, leaving no marks.I thought the product was quite expensive for what it is which is the only thing I can fault, but I couldn't really see any other products that would have worked for us so it was well worth the money. Just the job as so versatile for our specific needs. Bought the best safety gate in customer recommendations we could afford but problem was finding an extender to ensure gate fitted well in an above average width space of 89 cm. We opted for an extra tall gate which did not have an extender available , just an extender for the shorter version which did not fit the extra deluxe model. Set about having a look on Amazon and it did not disappoint - found your extenders which are so easy to fit in the gate across the wide staircase we have and with their soft ridged pads will not damage either the wallpaper, skirting board and stair end. We have moved into a new build house and brought our existing stair gates with us, however they were slightly too small and while looking at larger stair gates and extenders I happened ro come across these and they solved 2 problems. I didn't fancy drilling into my new stairs to secure the stair gate and these hold it fast and secure with no movement. I have tested by shaking with my full weight to make sure its safe and these do not budge, I can't recommend them enough. Read more
