I like this clipper because it is very easy to use. Directions included were pretty good for maintenance of the item. I have only used it on my husband one time so far and have no negatives on the product. However, there were two of the attachments that had multiple teeth each missing. This was on the #1 and the #6 attachments. Because of the damaged items I dropped off one star from the review. However, I did use the #1 as it was and the haircut seemed to come out okay. And I ordered another entire set of attachments which look like they are made of more durable material and so shouldn't arrive broken; plus not being loose in the package with the heavy clipper will probably make a difference. In 40 years, I've owned 2 of these, and my second one is still working great. I never used it on a professional basis, but have routinely given myself and 3 boys and now grandsons their regular haircut, about every 3 weeks. There are fewer haircuts these days, but I also make up for it some with going through my very thick wire-like beard hair.The first one lasted about 25 years and I'm now on year 15 with the current one. Therefore, when my youngest son's Conair cutting set became useless in less than 2 years, I've now bought one of these for him for his birthday. With 2 sons and hopefully more soon, this one is going to save him a lot of time and money.I would also point out that our family tends to have very thick hair, and this one doesn't get bogged down in the thickness like a lot of them do. It doesn't pull hair, scalp, throw combs, clog up, or just get stalled no matter what I've thrown at it. As stated earlier, I also use this for my general beard care, though it's capacity for detail isn't great [not what it's designed for].Cutting hair really is actually pretty easily learned by watching, and there are plenty of online videos about techniques and fundamental principles. You may be nervous the first few times through, but remember that hair grows back fast, so your mistakes are more forgivable than just about anything else you might mess up. And the time and savings are amazing. I would do all 3 of my boys and myself in under an hour, which is less time than you can sit waiting in a barbershop on a Saturday, let alone the haircut and travel time. Bought these to replace a pair of Wahl clippers I have had for over 10 years. They don't cut my hair evenly plain and simple. Something must have been changed in the design because the blade will not sit evenly. One side is higher than the other. I tried to adjust the blade, but it just doesn't work. This is my third pair of Wahl clippers. Had to go back to using my worn pair. They worked great. Will be returning these and finding a new brand to purchase. I purchased this a few years ago. It never worked right. I thought something was off with the blade alignment the first time I used it, but I couldn't get it to align any other way after taking it apart, so I assumed it was user error. Upon further inspection (much too late to return it), I have confirmed that it is indeed misaligned, but in such a way that I can't properly align it (one of the pieces is bent wrong). We bought these to replace an aging set of clippers that didn't work well. We clip all our family's hair at home so having a good set of clippers is a must. We chose these because the price was in our budget, but yet there were designed for the professional barber. We have had no rust issues or performance issues after using these for a month. The blades are sharp with keeps the clippers from pulling the kid's hair when clipping which makes them happy. The clipper is also a lot quieter than our old ones which is a plus! Read more

I always loved Wahls, they are so dependable. Ive been a stylisyt for 10 years, and Ive never had a problem with my Wahls, I even prefer them over my Paul Mitchell Osters. Clean cut, they don't overheat, and last forever when they are taken care of. I would recommend purchasing a lubricant along with these and brushing up and using oil after every use. Read more

I had the red version of this for years and loved it but really not impressed with this one I ordered from here. Does not cut my hair nearly as nice as my older one that I wanted to replace with a new one. Leaves uncut hair everywhere especially with an attachment being used.
