I wasn’t about to get this but I’m glad I did. First things first, these don’t feel like the andis. I like to cut my own hair to save money and I been doing It for 4 years now. I decided I would give these a shot and my initial thought when holding these was they don’t hit hard. But when I started edging up I was impressed. These hit hard out the box, can’t imagine how these will be if I mod them. I recommend these as a primary trimmer. Only bought these because after 4 years my andis are starting to break down. i wanted to love these, i have been using the regular corded detailers for years and they are hands down my favorite trimmers, these look beautiful, feel nice in your hand, very sturdy and have a good weight to them, even the dock is great quality, but these just dont give me as close of a shave as my regular detailers, a little disappointing considering these are double what my corded ones cost, i just expected them to work similarly, but these just sit on my station while i continue using my old ones, these come in great for doing little kids who cant sit still but thats the only time i really reach for them :( Read more

I received this product (albeit 5 days late). Right out of the box it was dragging hairs and more “plucking” them. I noticed something strange about the trimmer, it was full of a thick wax beneath the blade, which seemed strange to me. Also whenever I turned the trimmer on, the blades would “jump” out of line and to the left, meaning they were misaligned.I contacted Wahl directly who were really helpful. I sent them numerous images of the trimmer, serial number, box, lead, etc. After numerous discussions, Wahl have advised that this product is 100% counterfeit. They have advised me to stop using the product immediately, return to the seller & report to trading standards. Unfortunately Amazon are not taking any responsibility for this as it was “sold by a third party”. I am in the process of reporting to trading standards.Buyers, please be aware. I have no idea around the safety of this product, the blade quality, battery etc. This product was still advertised at the same price as a genuine, so I wasn’t to know. Please do not do what I did, buy from a reputable seller/Wahl reseller like Chris & Sons.Feel very let down by Amazon, as this was dispatched by them- how do I know that future items will be genuine? I currently own the corded version of these detailers and have done for about 4/5 years now. I then purchased the cordless version with the black body about two years ago. I was very disappointed with the power output and the closeness of the cut that came from them but I just put up with them anyway as they were easier to use at home that a corded version. My friend who is a barber asked to borrow them agreed they weren’t that great.But then around a month ago when she cut my hair she had purchased the new updated wahl cordless detailers and immediately I was very impressed! These are what the first version of these should have been. Much sturdier, a level or two above at cutting and closeness and also much more powerful.
