This is an amazing value at 3mo worth for $20! My son who is on the Autism spectrum, is often low on many vitamins including Vit D3. Especially in the winter months, as we are in Michigan with a current temp of 8° outside! These pea-sized pills are very small, gel capsules that are very easy to swallow. Only needing to take 1 a day is a huge bonus as well. At 10,000 IU, that's well over the twice the amount a person needs to maintain optimal blood levels (1000 IU - 4000IU). This is great to kick start your levels and keep them up, however I feel if they offered half the dose amount, they could offer more capsules (5000 IU, 180 capsules). Either way, this is still 3mo worth which is pretty unbeatable. I notice a big positive change in my son (15) when he takes these. He is more alert, energetic, focused and happy. You can have a vitamin D deficiency when you least expect it and I would encourage blood testing for it. I was surprised that mine was low on the most recent test. These gel capsules are very easy to use and convenient. Personally, I break the capsules with my teeth as I do not like to swallow entire gel capsules. The contents are largely olive oil-based, so there is no significant taste. As the other ingredients are bovine gelatin and glycerin, these would not be considered vegan. Well last I checked my levels were low and I’ve done a terrible job trying to manage it. I’ve taken this high dosage for this supplement before and they didn’t bother me. I take it once or twice for a week. Should be enough to get the vitals up. I suggest taking it in the morning empty stomach if your body can handle it.
