Following the advice of my naturopath, I started taking this supplement (200 mg at bedtime, 100 mg in morning) for a bad bout with anxiety / panic disorder that had resurfaced after a few months of stress. This supplement helped me with curbing negative thoughts and helping me feel more relaxed, and healed my nerves. The combination of this and a great therapist is powerful. This is the best brand for me! I mistakenly tried to save money by getting another brand (NOW, which I like and use for other things) but this is the only brand that works for me. I take 3 100mg 5HTP per night. When I have run out of the Vital Nutrients brand I have purchased others at my local health food store. None of them work the same as VN. It is a very expensive product (at least to me), but worth the money for the quality of sleep and decreased anxiety it provides me. Read more
