I started using this shampoo several years ago. In years past I would use two different shampoo's because hair gets buildup from the shampoo. Now I only use Verb. I am 63 and get compliments on how shiny and soft my hair is. Buying from Amazon will also save you a lot of money. Salons charge double the price for this product. Read more

The first few times I used this I absolutely LOVED it, so much so that I told my mom she should buy it too. I feel bad because here I am a month later and for whatever reason it just stopped feeling hydrating. Now it almost feels drying on my dyed brunette hair Ive been trying LITERALLY everything under the sun to try and repair (over 50 products expensive and not even salon treatments-olaplex and heat cure). Ive now switched to kerastase (spelling?) which is my latest product and the repair hydrating shampoo seems to be working better than this already. I wish I had read the negative reviews for this product before purchasing. I will preface this by saying I did not change anything about my lifestyle EXCEPT for this shampoo--no new medications, vitamins, foods, laundry detergents, skincare or other haircare products, nothing at all except for this shampoo. I also was not experiencing stress or lack of sleep.Within a few days of using this shampoo, I noticed a dramatic increase in the amount of hair lost while shampooing. My hair is already fine, so I was horrified to feel large bundles of hair in my hands when rinsing. At the end of a shower, the entire hair catcher (a grid that fits over the drain) was covered in hair. I'm used to seeing a small amount of hair on the hair catcher, but this was a shocking amount. This continued to happen each time I showered, and I noticed my hair brush was also quickly filling with hair. I began to worry that this was the start of some kind of serious illness, and scheduled a medical appointment. After receiving a perfect bill of health from the doctor, he asked if I was using any new haircare products. I immediately thought of this shampoo, and I decided to search the reviews for any other mentions of hair loss or hair fall. To my dismay, there are several reviews mentioning this problem that I didn't see before. I stopped using this shampoo and within a week, the hair loss issue completely stopped. I'm so glad it went away quickly, but I hope this review serves as a warning for others. Disappointing. I bought this on recommendation of a stylist, hoping it wouldn't take the color out of my hair. For maintaining vibrant color I think this is no better than any cheap shampoo you could buy at the drug store. My color was gone in about 2 weeks, which is faster than it washed out using Clairol. I don't understand what all these good reviews are talking about. My experience was quite different. The shampoo was not as bad, but the combination of both this hydrating shampoo and it's conditioner resulted in my hair looking like hay. Totally dry, frizzy, uncontrollable and ugly. Bought this because I was having scalp issues with another shampoo and discovered that I needed something milder, chemical free. It lathers nicely, smells very light (almost no scent) and seems to clean well, leaving my hair feeling "hydrated," and not in need of conditioner. However, this might be my only slight complaint: while it does leave my hair manageable and soft, that "clean feeling" doesn't last more than 2 days. Because my hair is naturally dry, I normally wash only 2x/week. With this shampoo, I must wash 3x/week or my hair and scalp feel gross. Otherwise, it's fine. Read more

THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING ! I colored my hair ash blonde and it became dry and was breaking and falling out . I researched what are the best repairing shampoos and this was the top rated . I totally agree ! I have been using it for about 2 months and i noticed a difference in the first wash . It felt soft and shinny , not dry and brittle . My hair has stopped breaking and falling out and has gotten thicker and more healthy and shinny . My color hasn't faded either . Well worth the price as you only need a little it goes a long way .
