I have to preface this by saying I had every intent to use this to cure some small parts from a resin printer, so my review is based off of experiences with that. Not nails.The good: it's small and cheap, it does actually put out uv light.The not so good: there is no "stay on" mode only the 60 and 120s, the lights are really weak to the point it seems more like white light (safer for skin so understandable but slower for resin curing).The reason why this is getting 1 star: the included usb a to micro USB cable doesn't work at all, but more importantly the product posting flat out lies when it says 36W. First off, who has a 36W usb A power brick? That would mean 5V 7A which could be dangerous with a cheap cable. When I ordered this, I imagined it having its own power supply so the page is very misleading. Also, the manual in the box itself states max draw is 24W which is still not a normal usb wattage. I'm curious as to where the last 12W are coming from, because if this is really using 36W it's magical and has solved our energy crisis. What's also concerning is the lamp itself doesn't say anywhere what power requirements are. I have a feeling the lamp would take 12v 3A but am too scared to try it as it could blow molten LED all over my desk.As for curing resin, it sort of worked. Very slowly. But it isn't worth the headache of pressing the button a dozen times for one thing. I would imagine this would work decently for nails if you have your own cable. Read more
I got this thinking it would be an affordable way to use UV nailpolish and UV resin stuff. I wasnt expecting anything fabulous, just something that worked. Well it only worked for a total of 2 minutes and broke. So I started a return and they sent me a new one. Then I used the new one for a total of 2 minutes and it crapped out too. I have a UV flashlight that works great and only costed $8 so I cant in good conscious give this more than 1 star. Only buy this if you want to waste your money on something that only lasts 2 minutes. Read more
I love this little thing. I always lug my whole kit when on vacation just in case I break a nail. I am currently in Jamaica and brought this little thing plus my polish etc,,, in a ziplock sandwich bag. I broke a nail. So I fixed it and had to polish with gel. This little thing worked perfectly!!! I am so happy and excited to not have to carry so much stuff with me anymore. Read more
I got this for my 16 yr old and myself. I thought it would be bigger idk why, but I am glad it's not. It can fit into my purse or my other travel bag. It did take a few times to get my nail gel to set, but then again it's a different form of gel from Sally's. I do wish the cord was a bit longer and that it actually came with a plug for the cord. You can use the cord with any usb charger. I also thought that this could be charged and it would work without the cord but again I was wrong, so it has to be plugged in. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but, I’ve been burned twice with this product. I purchased one of these and it stopped working almost immediately. Literally after the second coat of polish. Then I ordered a replacement. That one worked for the first day. The next time I went to plug it in, the port where the power cord plugs into just snapped off and fell inside rendering it completely useless. I was in the middle of curing my daughters nails at the time. Read more
Lightweight, compact, easy to use. Downfall to my purchase is that it stopped working after two uses. I only used it both times for the amount of time it's preset for. I tried multiple plugs and outlets in my home thinking that was the problem. I thought maybe it overheated so I allowed it to cool overnight retried and still nothing. It's sad too because this was exactly what I needed to cure the uv resin I use to make jewelry. Oh well, now I have to spend more money to buy a better quality item. Read more
