On Monday I had a gout attack and got a blood test done at the lab which showed my uric acid was 11.7. On the same day I did 2 tests using the UriTouch testing system and got values of 5.3 and 7.8.First let's discuss the fact that the two UriTouch readings, taken within minutes of each other, ranged by 2.5 points. How can that be?Next, these 2 tests are both about half of the actual value of 11.7. Yes, HALF. And that is in the middle of a gout attack when the number should be sky high!I will be returning this product, as I don't trust it to give correct test results at all. Read more
Followed the directions, watched videos, read the reviews and questions / answers.Did 40 tests over a couple of weeks. Most were in the 11 or 12 range. A few above, 14 to HI, one in the 9s and one in the 8s. Did a test 1 hour before labs and got an 11. Lab test came back as 8.2.The device is easy to use and works well with the exception of the results being way off.I know diabetics that use this technology and rely on it with their lives. Maybe good for glucose but not uric acid.I gave it 2 stars because the device is made well but doesn't work as described. Returned it. Read more
We’ll made, but grossly inaccurate! I’m super disappointed! I’m returning mine - too much money to spend on something that’s not accurate. In addition, I only used it a few times & by the 3rd day it kept giving me error messages & turning itself off. This ALL unacceptable! Read more
this was very easy to set up and use. has a specific range for uric acid and hopefully it is correct. used to set a base while having no symptoms and will use once a month or if having a problem to keep in check. Read more

As a professional, licensed phlebotomist, I have used thousands of lances/lancets on thousands of fingers including patients, trainees, and my own. The defective lance pen included is of the cheapest quality I have ever seen. It didn't work. Could not properly secure lancet to deliver a stick.Because this cheap, defective item was included in the package, I do not trust the quality/accuracy of the meter/strips or integrity of the company.
