I'm always mad at myself for succumbing to the temptation to buy toiletries on Amazon. But I needed to replace my amazing Buxom Insider Eyeliner, the best eyeliner ever for tightlining and I'd read that Urban Decay is the closest, so I ordered two.The first arrived quickly in an opened box. I took the cap off the pencil and saw immediately that it had been used. I didn't want to take the time to return it so I sharpened it enough to make it sanitary. The second pencil arrived and it was also used but worse, really gross. I just wasn't comfortable. After all, it goes on the inside of your eyelid. Who wants to risk infection there? The seller was very nice about exchanging it.The pencil I received in exchange was also in an open box, like the other two. And like the others it was smudged and the cap was dirty. When I removed the cap, I saw the point of the pencil was pushed in! I wasn't even sure if it could be sharpened. I wrote to the seller again just to make her aware. I didn’t ask to return it. We're in a quarantined household and it wasn't worth the risk of another trip to UPS. But I did want to make the seller aware that it is not hygenic or a good practice to resell returned eyeliner pencils. I sent a photo to show her the pushed in point but I did not ask for anything.She responded that all her items are absolutely new and unused.I'll try to resist buying cosmetics on Amazon in the future since I know this is how it is. I purchased 12 eyeliners and tested them to see which ones I liked most. I apply my eyeliner to what's known as "the waterline" of the eye, the inside of the bottom eyelid. I wanted an eyeliner that would last all day and would not smear and make me look like a raccoon. I didn't find any that were perfect. The highest rating I gave to any were 4 stars, and there were three that fit that rating. Worked with it for over an hour. No "glide on" here for me. It was hard, skipped, flaked....nope. $30 wasted.I'm 70ish, so the "glide on: was a selling point for me, as eyelids are no longer smooth. Don't need a product that accentuates it, then flakes off to boot. Read more

I've been a slave to my black Maybelline eyeliner since the 90's, always ending up with racoon eyes by the end of the evening. This goes on smoothly and stays put at least 8 hours. My only complaint is that it's so soft it doesn't keep a point or stay sharp for long so you can 't really get a fine line but it does what it says it does. It's worth it. Read more

I spent way too much money on this product because it claimed to be smudge-proof and I decided to trust the brand name. However after only 3 hours in an air-conditioned, office environment, I had racoon eyes so imagine what would happen if I were outside in the heat and humidity? I was hoping to find a good eyeliner that I could trust going to an outdoor wedding later in August that would not smudge. On the other hand the intense black color was beautiful! Adding this in a month later, when I had to advance the pencil, it did not advance at all so no lead beyond what is there, either. I would return this product if my window had not closed. I got a sample in a subscription box and haven't used anything else since. I've bought this several times, and it is always worth every single penny. LOVE this eyeliner. Goes on so smooth and stays on until I take it off, and it's easy to get off. Doesn't run when you cry or smudge off during the day. This is what every eyeliner wishes it could be. My favorite is Smoke, and it's just a little lighter than blackest black, but definitely not gray or brown. Read more

I had really high hopes for this after reading all the reviews. I have not found a single eyeliner that will stay on the waterline for more than a couple of hours without the need to reapply. I have tried several brands, and the best one I have found so before this was estee lauder double wear.The pencil is lovely and soft as previous reviews have said, and glides on softly with an intense black pigmented colour. Stays on all day above the lashes without smudging. Just a shame it has not lived up to its promises on the waterline. A couple of hours after application, and it starts to wear away in places.Still a great product though, as I am beggining to believe that a truly waterproof eyeliner on the waterline does not exist ;O) Read more

Now, I have struggled trying to find a truly waterproof eye makeup for years...the ones that claim to be waterproof flake and rub off, so I knew I needed something softer and waxier, and THIS IS IT !! Absolutely love this eyeliner, a staple in my everyday makeup. Long lasting unlike most pencil eyeliners and is jet black! Only downside is it needs sharpening often due to soft pencil, however it still lasts long and is worth the money. Read more
