When I first bought this very same cologne in 2007 it was the best thing around, lashing up to 5 hours when applied. Unfortunately, it appears the original cologne has been discontinued and anything else claiming to be “ unforgivable authentic” is a lie. That’s the case now. I bought this cologne recently and timed its longevity, and with all honesty, the scent lasted for only 35 minutes. I applied it on my friend to see if he would get a better result. Ok, so as the 1st reviewer in 2020 let me let you know, THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. I had this cologne back in high school and it was a huge hit and after I ran out I went an explored other scents knowing I already loved this one...I have finally bought it again after about 10 yrs and its still the same breath taking scent I remember it to be. im not sure what product people had that had them saying this scent lasted 35 mins (maybe they didn't add enough, who knows) but im not working on 7 hrs and it still smells as if I just put it on and I absolutely love that. this is a scent that could easily be someone's signature scent. its inviting and easily top 5 scents. if you have a 1st date night coming up this for sure is one of those "I think I'll go on a 2nd date with this person" type smells granted your not a d*ck in other areas. It's unforgivable how terribly awful this "authentic" scent has become. It is extremely diluted and, at its best, smells like a cheap knockoff for a few seconds before the smell totally dissipates. This is NOT the Unforgivable scent/cologne that he came out with that had men and women turning heads and losing their minds over. This is that one fragrance that I've been searching for all of my life! As I've written in other reviews, I gravitate torwards the fresh, clean, pure smelling scents. I love spraying such a cologne after taking a shower, and how it makes me feel fresh and revitalized throughout the entire day.I read the reviews for this Eu De Toillette before hitting the purchase button, and they seemed to describe "exactly" what I was looking for. I can't even describe my purchase as "taking the plunge" because I've spent, literally, over 8 times the price of this one, on fragrances that I didn't really like, and would never buy again!The longevity is excellent. In my experiments with different colognes, I've found that scents remain alive longer on clothing than on skin. Perhaps because of the oils secreted by the skin, IDK. Yet, this particular cologne retains its integrity even on the skin onto the following morning!I absolutely LOVE this Eau De Toillette! So much so that I've found myself doing some weird things! I've spayed it on my pillows, bed, and also inside (center pages) of the books that I'm reading! I've found that the heightened pleasantness catalyzed by this fragrance, amplifies my reading experience, comprehension and retention!I believe that the greatest power in a good Eau De Toillette is not so much the scent, itself, or even the compliments that others give you, but it's ability to "anchor" a heightened positive state within you. To elevate your spirit and keep it elevated throughout day. You then become a pleasant person to yourself, and naturally overflow this bright energy onto others. I love this cologne, I had an oil that smells similar, from the moment I smelt it I knew it was a ....HIT... I have been getting a ton of complements the days I wear Unforgivable, it has a smooth yet in its own way powerfull smell I would most definitely have to say hands down its one of my favorites in my collection, and let me tell you I have maybe around 50 different types of cologne.If you are looking for something to wear in the office, club, or just a daily cologne then this is it I can tell you women will ask you what you are wearing all day long. I still can't believe that this could be an original product. The fragrance is very very faint and lasts only for a few minutes. I know the fragrance of the original version and it used to last for hours but this product's fragrance is non-existent. Amazon needs to look again into the history of the seller and trace the recent reviews for this product as this product looks like a fake one! Read more

I'm not sure about about this. I took a tester home from perfume shop yesterday and it smells different to this. This is not as strong and smells more chemical than anything else. I actually think it could be fake. And despite the one star review no contract from seller suggesting further investigation is warranted by myself.
