I do not normally do a lot of reviews. I don’t enjoy rating companies low. However, reviews help me to make a decision when shopping, so I felt this info might be important. I have used Turbie Twist hair towels for years. The quality of this towel is nice and absorbent and the pattern is beautiful. The problem is the elastics with this one. It was a two pack purchased on July 30, 2018. As of today, one elastic completely unraveled and the other is well in its way. These towels are only used a couple times a week and have only been in the washing machine maybe twice. I would not repurchase even though the towel is good. Nice towel- good size and absorbency but the elastic loop does not hold up well (see pictures). I got these towels as a Christmas present and the elastic loop that secured the towel to your head is now fraying very badly that I’m not sure how much longer they will last. I machine wash/dry on delicate. Both towels in the pack did it and they are only 5 months old so I’m a little disappointed about that. Read more

I found these original Turbie Twist Hair Towels here on Amazon. I have 6 of these and absolutely love them. I have long very wavy hair and I hate the thought of even washing it no less messing around with it. I am a scrunch and go hair person , I hate wasting time with my hair. I wash it , towel dry it , put some leave in conditioner through it and scrunch it , wait a minute or two then wrap my hair in the Turbie Twist Towel while I am getting other things done. By the time I take the Turbie off my hair is almost dry. These wash great , dry fast and last forever.Having a bad hair day , not getting out put a Turbie Towel on ! The colors are cute and they look pretty neat. I like these because they are the real ones NOT the ones with a BUTTON , these have an elastic that you twist the end of the towel into to make it stays put. This pack contained 2 , both the same Paisley print and very pretty. I wear them I don't feel well enough to wash my hair and they look great. One of the best inventions ever made. I love these! I have medium thickness, quite long hair and they work great. I used to use 2 towels every shower, one for body one for hair, which got especially annoying and difficult when traveling. These are small and lightweight and easy to throw in my suitcase and go! I like the elastic loop at the end to keep them in place. Saw a few others with a button instead and worried about the button eventually coming loose, the loop feels sturdier to me. I think they make my hair slightly less frizzy if I time it right. I can't leave my hair in it too long but have to leave it in long enough for it to at least start to dry. They need washed weekly or they can start to smell stale if that makes sense? But that's why this 2 pack is great, especially for the price! The lighter color doesn't wash great so be careful it gets kind of dingy looking but I don't strictly separate my colors. I have been using the Turbie Twist Hair Towel for about 20 years. It's great for when I get out of the shower, until I'm ready to dry my hair. I buy the White color, because for some reason, you can expect they'll be soft, fluffy, and just the right thickness. - I've bought other colors in the past. Edit——- I also wanted to say that I wash these per instruction and after about 2 months they start to have that “wet towel smell”, it’s GROSS!! I’ve tried vinegar etc and they smell okay after just washing and then after 1 use I go to wrap my hair and they have a “not clean” smell. This set would make a great gift or two as they are so cute and packaged so nicely. I actually bought these for myself because this was such a good price for real Turbie Twist towel turbans. I have a spare available when one is in the laundry. The patterns are fun with cheerful colors and it boosts our moods at my house.I use a Turbie Twist to wrap my hair after I wash and add hair products products to my natural baby fine, 3A curly hair. I have less frizz and breakage than with a terry towel. It frees up my hands to put on makeup and do other hygiene while my hair dries. Or I can wrap my hair for it to dry while I sleep because the Turbie Towel is so much thicker than other turbans and the loop keeps it secure. I actually use it for a modified form of the Curly Girl Method of plopping hair. My hair dries quickly with little or no blow dryer, but a little drying with a diffuser can add a little more body if I need it. Read more

Love Turbie Twist! I’ve tried other brands of hair towels but they usually have a button or loop that ends up at the base of my scalp and with a large head and thick hair, it’s a challenge to get it to reach that far. I like that Turbie Twist has a loop at the top of your head and it’s easy to make it go through the loop there. Read more

These are super soft and wrap round and tuck under at the back to a sewn in label which is great as there's no awkward buttons or Velcro to attach to.Be sure though to NEVER EVER wash them with a fabric softener as it will stop the microfibre from absorbing.Do not put them in a tumble dryer either as it will melt the fibres.
