Pros. Has accessories readily available. Has a nice handle and feel. Has several brushes that come as accessaries making more versatile.Cons: Brush head rotates only in one direction which produces a torque making it hard to control placement while brushing especially with the larger head. If you have any 1 inch or longer hairs near your face when operating the facial brush you may find them turned into knots when they encounter the brush head. The other unit had a timer to help you keep you from over brushing areas of your face/body. This was very helpful. This unit has a single speed-slow.Overall it is an okay unit.I have purchased two other products by Toilet Tree and they have function exceptionally well.Would I purchase again no. I had a facial brush by another company that is no longer in business and could no longer obtained brushes for it. So looked for a new facial brush. I'm amending my original review that I made on 5/28/14. I've had this face brush for a month and it was working fine. After exactly one month like one of the other reviewers, my brush stopped working. Assuming my batteries had died, I inserted new batteries and it started working again, except I could not turn it off. I had to take out one of the batteries to get it to stop. The next morning, I inserted the battery that I'd taken out and again "nothing". Dead as a door nail. I really like this brush, in the last month it has done wonders for my skin, so if this is not normal, I'd appreciate a replacement as well.I purchased this system after reading several positive reviews about using it in the shower compared to another brand where multiple reviewers said the unit did not work well in the shower. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've only been using mine for two weeks. I've always had T-zone issues as well as large pores. Using the face brush system with my face wash does wonders for my skin. I no longer have the T-zone oil slick and my pores are noticeably smaller. For this reason alone, this was a great purchase for me. I have not tried the body brush yet so I can't give a review on that. I like other reviewers was not impressed with the pumice attachment. It didn't seem to be doing much of anything when I attempted to use it. I used the batteries that came with the device, so I'm not sure if this affects the speed with the attachments or if this is how it is designed. Since I've never used one of these face systems before I've got nothing to compare it to. Still, with the results I've gotten from using the face attachments I'm glad I made this purchase. I just got my face and body scub brush skin care system today! I would have to say that I absolutely guarantee you will love it ! I used it today face and body and can't believe the results of my skin in just one day of using it ! My face and body is very soft and never experienced anything like this before until today! Amazing - I generally trust products that have so many good reviews, but this is the first time I've really felt compelled to write a review . This is so amazing, generally as someone who values exfoliation and being able to really make my skin look tight taught and clear. Especially as someone who wears makeup and, when I'm out or at a shoot, wearing a good amount of makeup, this has made cleaning my skin and clearing my pores a really pleasurable experience. Its also great in the morning b/c it generates blood flow to the face and fights that morning bloat that generally annoys me. The body brush is great and the sensation feels great against my skin. I get mild acne on my forehead from time to time and my nose is covered with unsightly blackheads. My mom and another friend recommended that I start giving myself a facial periodically as a means of dealing with it so I tried doing it manually a couple of times. I have to tell you, I have very little patience for the monotonous circular scrubbing required to clean out your pours with "cleansing granules". After briefly toying with the notion of converting an orbital sander for cosmetic use, it occurred to me that I might not be the only one interested in such a device, so I did a quick Amazon search.The first thing that showed up was some fancy-pants $200 job. I recall it got good reviews but given the price, I was thinking that maybe my orbital sander idea wasn't such a bad idea after all... then my mom did a more in-depth search and found this product.I had my doubts when it first showed up, but I have been pleasantly surprised. It does a fantastic job! The attachments are perfectly adequate for my needs. I probably use it twice/month. My skin looks pretty rough when I'm done with it (since I'm kind of impatient), but I just pour on the toner and moisturizer and when I wake up I'm glowing like Casper. (I live in Seattle.)It sheers the acne pretty much clean off (my acne is more just immune modulated "bumps" that appear on my skin and sometimes get kind of red), and the black heads get swept out and look better within about 12 hours. (I also let a store brand salicylic acid wash sit on my nose for a couple minutes in the mornings. Between that and the semimonthly facials, I get adequate enough results that a causal glance in the mirror no longer causes me to recoil in horror.)The improvement this has given to my attitude alone is worth the $40. I havent used this on my body yet but DO NOT use this on ur face unless ur skin is already perfectly clear. If ur someone who's desperate for a solution to breakouts, scrubbing is NOT the way to go. Scrubbing gets rid of all the oil in ur skin and makes ur skin overcompensate and produce lots of oil which causes break outs, especially if ur susceptible.I used this religiously for like a month and sure my skin looked more buffed and glowy and was softer, but my breakouts got worse which defeats the objective. If u have breakouts, look up oil cleansing and invest in a good, organic face mask that is comprised of all natural ingredients since chemicals are bad for ur skin and big pharmaceutical companies put irritants in products that make ur skin bad so u need to buy more products. I only use 100% coconut oil, wash my face with water, oil cleanse and use a face mask kit from TruSelf organics (if ur gonna buy one they have sales quite often so be patient). My skin improved so quickly. I only get spots on the left side of my face now because i can't help but touch my face and lean on my left hand whenever I'm doing anything (with my dominant right hand, especially as a student who does lots of writing).It's nice that it comes with a normal brush and softer brush for sensitive skin, a larger body brush and also a pomice stone, but i will no longer be using the face brushes. It's a reasonable price and but I can't see how it does a very different job to the clarisonic brushes (i've never tried them). If ur gonna use this on ur face despite what i've said (or have perfect skin breakout wise) make sure u moisturise after every use. I will be using this in the bath and maybe shower ( dont submerge it in water its water resistant not waterproof) and may even pair it with a scrub for an extra smooth bod. Ok so i have had my product 2 weeks and noticed an improvement. Today the plastic waterproofed onoff button split and jammed the product on. Had to remove batteries to stop it. Its a shame. I could see my open pores had begun to appear pitted as the sebum was gently and lightly removed and size of pores seemingly reduced. My husband used around three times in this time but did not notice a difference. I used every day. Overall skin brightened and felt smoother. Am looking to try another item similar. Refund and return is in process with amazon. I also bought replacement kit rather optimistically. Looked good. Kit held it beautifully. Ahhh well Read more

This was bought in October of 2015 and haven't had any problems at all.I use this in the shower with cleanser on a daily basis, it leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth.I have sensitive skin and was dubious about using a product like this as i was struggling with adult acne but my skin cleared up.Couldn't recommend this enough.Thank you. I ordered this as I have had enough of my open pores, and my blackheads. I have combination skin, so this was a gamble but I thought I'd risk it. The brush arrived before the predicted date, and I was elated to receive it so quickly after ordering it. I used the cleansing brush the same day, and my skin felt smooth and clean. However, if you have combination skin, I wouldn't recommend using it too often as it can irritate and dry out some areas of your skin. Also, use the 'hard' brush occasionally as it can be quite rough if you use it too often. Some pores have already begun to close up, and my skin is starting to improve - I am only using this once every other day. I believe this product is probably better for people with oily skin, as it may be too rough for some with dry or combination skin. I also recommend using a soft cleanser, as anything too harsh will also dry out your skin. I have only given 4 stars as the cleansing brush is too hard for me, but I'm just being picky.
