I have been ordering, and getting, 9.73 ounce containers of Trader Joe's Stevia. But today I got these teensy one ounce bottles. I MUCH prefer the 9.73 ounce containers. Yes, it is mixed with lactose (milk powder). For some, this is an issue, and I realize that. For me, it's a convenience, because DESPITE what it says on the puny one ounce bottle, this is not going to last for 630 servings, because if you just use that tiny amount, there is not enough sweetness. I LIKE the lactose; it balances the bitterness of the stevia. Blah. Friends, did you know you can grow stevia in your own back yard or even on a windowsill? I wish I could trade with some of the customers who wanted the one ounce container but got the 9.73 container instead. Read more

THE ORIGINAL REVIEW IS STILL 5 STARS, BUT ONLY APPLIES TO THE 2 OZ BOTTLES. SEE END.This time, I received two 9 3/4 oz bottles, filled with 75% lactose and 25% stevia!!! I wanted 100% stevia, like I got the previous order. I am using stevia because I do NOT want caloric sugar. At least it's milk sugar, not maltodextrin.AMAZON NEEDS TO FIX THIS. Either change the description if the product has changed, or do not mix the two different types of stevia!!!! 2 oz. bottle review, 5 stars:All other stevia brands are inferior, as of this date, anyway.I noticed reviews on the Trader Joe's liquid stevia that some reviewers had an issue with the alcohol. I have both types, and I actually prefer the liquid by a small margin- the alcohol doesn't bother me. That said, this powder is as good as it gets today. You can put some dust on your tongue without cringing. The taste is similar to Sucralose.Typically I mix 2 tsp of stevia powder in a dropper bottle, and fill it with water. It's cheaper, and tastes about the same as the liquid version. This produces a product that is as "standard" as it gets for sweetener. Somewhere between several drops and half a droppersfull is equivalent to one packet of sweetener. I discovered that if I put 2 droppersful of the Trader Joe's liquid stevia in the bottle, it dissolves very quickly; otherwise it takes a few hours for the cloudiness to disappear. This powder actually dissolves more easily than other brands. Perhaps they use more alcohol than really necessary in the liquid version.I use a LOT of stevia, and Trader Joe's is now my favorite. This is the best tasting stevia I've ever had. It even beat out Java in a big taste survey. You can get it for a couple dollars cheaper at Trader Joe's, but I didn't want to drive way across town so I bought it on Amazon!Does anyone know what buyer Trader Joe's buys their stevia extract from? I'd like to buy it in bulk! It is so good! I have been off sugar for 545 days and I have a huge sweet tooth.I use this and erythritol! I've lost 110 lbs. on a modified low carb, high fat diet using starch blockers! Read more

My local Trader Joes was out of Stevia, so I ordered this online. The bottle looks the same in pictures, but this is much bigger bottle and the product has added filler. Stevia in the physical store is in a much smaller bottle and does not have the filler. Read more

Haven't been to Trader Joes since the pandemic started so was just happy to find this anywhere. Perfect little measuring spoon or shaker use. Not overly sweet due to the measuring processes built in. Read more

This is concentrated--you only use a tiny amount. There's no bitter after-taste. Great in coffee, tea, any drink you sweeten. I prefer Equal for cereals or on fruit, it has a similar texture to sugar, but this is the best for drinks. Read more

It wasn't what i had gotten from Trader Joe's store, so i was skeptical at first, but i do like it, and such a little goes a long way. And for me, it doesn't have the after taste that other people say they generally don't like about stevia. I'm pre-diabetic, so this kind of stevia is perfect for me. Read more

This is my favorite brand of stevia! Not all stevia is created equal. Common brands of this leave a distinct yuck after taste but not the Trader Joe brand. Yes this is expensive but you have a tiny measuring spoon and one of these bottle containers lasts about two months and I am a heavy tea.drinker of about 4 cups a day. So the expense is economically justifiable in the end. Besides, I'd rather ENJOY my tea/coffee! Read more
