The Tommee Tippee Soft Spout Transition Cup is specially designed for a familiar breast or bottle feel for those very first sips, while paying special attention to baby's sensitive teething gums. To help the transition go smoothly, this cup features a breast-like Closer to Nature nipple as well as an offset soft spout that encourages more natural cup drinking action. The easy-grip handles are perfectly designed for tiny hands, and as drinking skills improve the handles can be removed and interchanged with bigger, non-insulated Tommee Tippee cups. We love Tommee Tippee, have been using for nearly 2 years with no issues... till now :( Our 21 month old is having a difficult time dropping bottles, so we thought the soft-tip transition nipple would be a good aid in moving to a sippy cup. Within one week of light use (morning and night, supervised and only used while actively drinking) Both tips have torn due to teeth. We haven’t had any issues with the regular nipples doing this up to this point. The silicone of the transition soft top seems much thinner than the regular nipples too. Great idea if your kid doesn’t have too and bottom teeth, not for older babies. Read more

I say use whatever works for you. This was the best starter sippy cup we used. Yes sometimes the lid messes up and ends up leaking but like with most baby products I will buy whatever works for my son and he uses. I took away traditional bottles when he started putting his hands up and messing around so about the 3 month mark. These have a regular nipple. So I would always help guide his hands on bottle and because it's so small it is very light weight for him. Now at 5 months he is fully transitioned to the second nipple that this bottle comes with and holds his own bottle and uses sippy cups. Read more

Lid rings do not properly fit standard Tommee Tippee bottles and visa versa. They will screw onto the bottle but they don’t seal correctly, so milk leaks everywhere. There is no way to distinguish the difference between the sippy cup and the bottle ring so you must try to keep them isolated from each other. I’ve had to donate them because I’m frustrated by them either leaking due to using the wrong lid, or having to scramble to find the ring that fits correctly when I have an upset baby. If you don’t have the standard bottles and you’re only have the sippy cups then they will work fine. Read more

I've used tommee tippee with both my kids and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend these. The silver bottle seems to work only with the blue ring and the green only with the green ring only with the nipples they come with. The rings, the part that holds the nipple, also seems like it's a way thinner plastic. If we use one of our normal bottle nipples in the bottles it then the ring looks almost warped, the only thing my husband and I can figure is that the nipples it comes with are just slightly thinner and allow the bottle to close all the way out it'll leak. Luckily I mainly bought these for the handles and sippy tops but the quality I expect from tommee tippee is just lacking with these. Handles work good though. Read more

I was hopeful about these, but unfortunately I would not recommend them. I wish I didnt waste my money. I bought a pair for my second child, a 7 month old. I was looking for a sippy cup that would be a good transition from being exclusively breastfeeding fed. The things I like: The fact it comes with a nipple and a sippy spout. The things I don't like: The handles are bent at a weird angle and can't move once you put the top on. When you twist on the cap, the spout of the sippy cup rarely lines up with the handles for a little one to be able to learn how to drink on their own. You have to twist it extra hard to get them to line up, if you are lucky. It's so annoying. I will probably have to buy a different sippy cup and use these when she doesn't need handles anymore. (If you are using the bottle nipple instead of the sippy spout, it won't matter how the top goes on). It's such a poor design.. sigh. Read more

The way that the sippy cup comes apart and put back together is not ideal. You have to put the handle ring on first, then the ring that holds the silicone nipple screws on, but you can't predict where the twisting on will stop, so the nipple is always in the wrong spot relative to the handle! The handle has to sit in a certain way and does not twist with the bottle. So what I end up doing is twisting on the lid, then estimating where I need to move the nipple, unscrew the lid, move the nipple, screw it back on...It also feels kind of cheap, the lid is not very easy to screw onI would not recommend these, there are a lot better sippy cups out there Read more

Have always loved tommee tippee products. Bought these to use as newborn bottles and love that I can transition them to sippy cups. I had some larger bottles with size 1 nipple that I swapped out. Love that tommee tippee products are so interchangeable. My only complaint is that if you're using for breastmilk or formula- it only shows 1,3 and 5 oz on the side. I just measure my milk in my pump bottle and pour in- no biggie. Both my breastfed boys have taken tommee tippee bottles from the very beginning with no issues with nipple confusion. Will only buy tommee tippee. Read more

Oh man I am a big tommee tippee fanatic. We use a lot of tommee tippee products. I so thought I was going to love these even though I read a review about getting them mixed up with other bottles. Well another review said she couldn’t tell the difference between the regular bottle lids and these but I found that these have a little star etched in the lid that the regular bottle lids don’t have so that’s how you tell the difference. The down side is that these little bottle will leak terribly if you don’t use the little handle. Even if you use the little handle and you don’t put the lid on properly, it will leak a lot. I ended up buying some other tommee tippee sippees for 7m+ but my daughter is having a hard time with those right now. I really do like that you can switch the nipple with the sippee spout nipple. It just leaks a lot from either the nipple or sippee nipple so you can’t just let it tip over anywhere. Read more
