About 15 years ago, I began shaving in the shower rather than at the bathroom sink before showering. Shaving in the shower is a lot more convenient, but it has been hindered by the fact that, after only a minute or so, the mirror fogs up. Not any more. With this mirror, you fill the reservoir with warm water at the start of the shower, give the mirror a quick swipe with the included squeegee, and you're good for the duration. To make the reservoir easier to fill, rather than use the included suction cups, I hang the mirror from a loop of synthetic twine. This arrangement enables me to easily remove the mirror to fill it with warm water, and then quickly re-hang it for shaving. Sure the device costs more than a simple mirror with suction cups, but it performs so well, I'll never go back. If you shave it the shower, I urge you to give this mirror a try. Read more

TL;DR The suction cups work REALLY well, even on wavy tile. Squeegee a little anemic, but acceptable. Overall EXTREMELY pleased.I was a little skeptical about the suction cups working well - we have a 4x4 wavy tile in the shower, and we're renting so we couldn't use the permanent full-sized option. When I tried to suction it to the tiles the first time - before I turned on the shower - it didn't stick too well. After I turned on the shower and filled the mirror with water, the suction cups worked so well that I had to slide the mirror over to the grout lines to get them off. I'm extremely pleased, and so is my husband. The little squeegee that's included isn't great, but it works well enough and it has a built-in storage spot, so I'm not complaining. Love this mirror! Perfect for traveling or daily use in the shower. I've had mine for over 2 years. Works as it did since day one. Mirror is still in tip top shape. No scratches or water stains. Haven't had any issues with fog. Comes with a small squeegee which slides off/on from the bottom frame of the mirror so you can easily wipe off excess water after showering if you're concerned about water stains. Attaches to shower wall via 2 suctions cup on the back. The only complaint is that the suction cups (as with all suction cups) cannot be used on stone or non-flat surfaces. Read more

My husband uses the full size fogless mirror by ToiletTree & he absolutely loves it. He's had it for 4 years now & it is still in really good shape. My son was turning 18 & I wanted to get him a few things that signified "welcome to manhood". I figured this fogless mirror would be a great gift. I've heard so many men complain about their fogless mirrors. This mirror works like it should so long as you put warm water in the reservoir when you are ready to shave. It WILL fog up if you don't put fresh, warm water in the reservoir, but switching out the water is simple & just requires a quick dump of the old water.I opted for the smaller mirror because of cost & also because I figured after my son graduates high school he will probably do some traveling & this will be a lot easier to take along with him. The full-sized one affixes to the shower semi-permanently. I say this because we've moved 3 times in 4 years & with each move my husband had to use a straight-edged razor to get it off the shower wall. With this one, they supply a big suction cup to adhere to the shower wall. There is always that potential for the suction cup to fail over time, but if you want something that is easily removed & you can take with you when traveling, then I highly recommend this one over the full sized one. It's small and that sucks for those like me who wear glasses outside of the shower. With that said it doesn't fog when filled with warm/hot water. That requires you to take it off of the tile to fill with warm shower water and then replace it. This is simple enough, but you get water behind the suction cups. It turns to mold and the clear suction cups look black. It will become part of your shower cleaning ritual (as if I actually have one). Nobody is mentioning in all the 5 star reviews that is isn’t actually FOG LESS. Unless you fill the back portion of the mirror with hot water it is useless. And if you ever wrestled with a suction cup before you won’t be willing to do that EVERY TIME YOU SHOWER. I got the travel model that attaches/detaches with suction cups. It works great for shaving in the shower. I got mine about ten months ago, and a couple of weeks ago the suction cups just quit holding for some reason. I could not find replacement cups locally, so I messaged Toilet Tree on their web site and asked if they had replacements. I got a very quick reply from a very helpful lady who sent me two new suction cups in the mail - at no charge. Great customer service like that more than makes up for the suction cup failure. This mirror functions exactly as it is supposed to; very light weight with strong suction, easy to fill and empty, and once filled with hot water remains unfogged through a 10-15 minute shower. Does not appear there is any likelihood it will fall. The mirror quality is just OK, but more than good enough for me to shave, even without great lighting. Some may want a bigger mirror for home use, but I use it both at home and for travel.Update May 2021: FWIW, after 2 years of daily use at home and packed up in a backpack for frequent international travel, this cheap little mirror is still intact and fully functional (including never-fail suction and operational mini-squeegee)… Read more

24 July 2013: This product is marred only by the very fragile lugs on the soft plastic suckers that hold it to the wall. One has broken after only five weeks' use.If it were not for this I would have given this product 5* as it does exactly what it sets out to do - provide a steam free mirror in the shower with which to shave. To achieve this you fill the cavity behind the mirror with (warm) shower water which has then to be emptied before it can be used again (the next day) - this involves removing at least one of the suckers from the wall to rotate and empty the cavity of water.As it is, it falls off the wall when it is filled so no more condensation free mirror and no shave.I was using this at home so taking only one sucker off the wall each day to rotate and empty the cavity - if travelling I would be taking both off each day so exerting even more stress to the lugs on the plastic suckers.22 November 2013: Full marks to Toilet Tree. Use it at work brilliant for me. Rather than trying to shave in the sink and getting barged into can just disappear into a shower cubicle and do it all there. Have to shave my head as well. Very easy to use and perfect size. The bag it comes with is useless though and I do wonder how long it will be until the mirror goes opaque. We will see. I always prefer shaving in the shower because it's easier and less irritating to shave hair once it's been softened with hot water, it's also much less messy than trying to shave over a sink. Before I was always trying to look it the reflective frame of my shower door, this is such a huge improvement! As long as you do fill it with hot water (cold will only make things worse) it stays perfectly condensation free. Read more
