I have long, pretty thick and wavy hair. I've been cutting my own hair for quite a few years using the "ponytail method." It has been hard to get the cut right because my scissors were, well, crappy. I purchased these when my sister borrowed her husband's pair that he uses for his beard. I cut her hair with his scissors and knew I had to have a set. The only reason I am giving a 4 instead of 5 is due to shipping not being clear and Sanguine not responding to my emails. I love the scissors though. They are very stylish and super sharp. Very sturdy and the case will make me put a conscious effort into keeping them cleaned and polished. Will definitely order again when these wear out, Since I now know what to expect of shipping. Regarding that, as an fyi to other shoppers in the U.S. you will not be given tracking info. Amazon will just say "the vendor shipped it such and such date" and to "contact the vendor for details." Don't waste your time as you won't get a response from Sanguine. Just await patiently. I may try to just go straight through the company next time to test if shipping is a more clear process. I got what I deserved for not reading the item description, these are actually stainless and not titanium as the title mentions, I accept that I fell for that. - I just noticed as soon as I took them out of the package that it was defo way way too heavy to be titanium haha ! , then it also says on the side it is stainless.These will still be fit for purpose to me however, I just cut my ends every 6 months.So I will give 3 stars for misleading item title. I bought these so I could cut my toddlers hair at home as he has sensory issues and it's frightened of hairdressers. He's loves the colour and we've been working on the sensation etc. These and the perfect length and are sharp enough for me to cut his hair quickly before he has had enough. The only downside is that they're a little unfinished so they're too sharp on the tip to work the scissor along his skin to square of the back. Sharp, precise and do the job, of cutting hair. Pinched them from my husband's bathroom drawer for trimming the dogs, but caught in the act, so will order another pair. Neat, unnecessarily pretty given they are mostly sitting in their case, but comfortable. I am a woman so judging by my own fingers but, just asked my husband and he finds them comfortable too. These scissors not only look asthetically pleasing, but are unbelievably sharp!Usually scissors cut the hairs that are in between the blades further towards the handle and tend to blunt the further towards the 'points' they get. Not these ones, you can use the very last milimeter of the pointed ends to snip away those pesky hairs that managed to survive the clipper. 10/10. Highly recommend. Read more

I've never been brave enough to cut my own hair before but was sick of having to visit the hairdresser every few weeks to get my fringe cut. I eventually got up the nerve after looking at some You Tube tutorials and then needed to decide on some scissors! So happy with these scissors. They come in a really nice little case and are nice and sharp. Once I'd mastered the grip for hairdressing scissors,which is a different hold to regular scissors, I've been happily snipping away and really pleased with the results.
