These synthetic opal studs are comfortable and the 16g 6mm size is perfect for my lip piercing. It's a tight fit that won't fit universally; many will prefer an 8mm bar length which will fit them more comfortably. The 5mm opals are very large and probably slightly larger than preferred. I was just sick of those tiny 3mm stones that no one could see, so I wanted something more obvious.There is a lot of fire in the stones. The quality is good, I've had no allergic reactions and the value is great. I would definitely recommend this to others. I'd prefer a 4mm stone; a smaller size would be more natural looking than the large 5mm one. Still like it though!Warning: The opal piece falls out randomly sometimes if you don't keep it tightened regularly. I love these stones and wear them in my Monroe and Angel Kiss piercings - however, I order the 16 gauge, 5mm tops to wear in the bars that my piercer used as my piercings are always very sensitive. The first set I received fit in the bars perfectly, but the second set I ordered that were supposed to be the exact same size were slightly too large to screw into the bars. The post is so small its unwearable. I received 4 total. The gems look nice. Pit the post is so small I couldn't put it through my lip all the way. I was hoping I could use an old post with the gem... of course it didn't fit. So they're a waste. Money wasted. Beware. Sizing isn't necessarily accurate. Read more

These are cute and the colors are beautiful, but even though they're internally threaded they don't stay closed tightly. Even with pliers it's almost impossible to tighten them to a secure level where they won't unscrew. I'm constantly retightening them but even at it's "tightest" the pieces are still jiggling around loosely. Read more

I got my labret pierced with an opal topped post- managed to lose it and was devastated. I got the mix pack of 3mm-5mm (wasn't sure what size my original was) and currently am wearing the 5mm.
