I first tried this product on the advice of my practitioner and purchased it at her office. After about 6 weeks I noticed a significant improvement in joint pain and stiffness. When I tried to buy it again at a later appointment, the office was out of stock due to the product being on backorder, which led me to purchasing online. This time, the capsules in the bottle I received from the online supplier looked and smelled very different. Instead of the very bright, vibrant orange turmeric powder, uniformly colored, and the distinct tangy turmeric aroma I'm familiar with, the powder was much paler in color, more beige than orange, and appeared striated. There was no aroma of turmeric. The expiration date on the bottle was July 2020, and the bottle was sealed when I opened it, but I'm not confident in the product due to the difference in appearance and smell. I used to be a wholesale buyer of herbs and spices, so I know what turmeric is supposed to look and smell like. Unfortunate. ABout 8 months ago I decided to prove to my daughter that I could do a cartwheel still. At 47 I do not reccommend it but I am in good shape and take care of myself so why not right?After I shocked her with my skills I hobbled off into an eight month pain that affected my hip. I tried working the muscle out and rubs but it wasnt until I started using curcumin that it completely went away. It was impossible for me to cross my legs indian style but now i can do it with ease. It’s AMAZING!!! I Never take anything for pain. But I have a sinus infection and sinus pressure was bad. A dear friend of mine recommended to try this so I thought “ok”. I've had osteoarthritis in my left knee and hands, since forever. Or when I was in high school, but it worsened over time so I tried a variety of non-helpful things. Including glucosamine/chondroitin (that DID work for our elderly dog).I got a book by a PT on Amazon, and the exercise gizmos. And did those faithfully till I bought this.I expected nothing. And I got so much more even though I only took 1/2 a dose (to protect tummy and any reaction). 6 months ago I would have given this product 5 stars, after using for several years for severe basal thumb joint pain. It worked great! With the label change my pain is no longer controlled. Did the formula change? Do not know; just know I am dealing with thumb joint pain again, so will have to try another brand. UPDATE: have used another quality brand since posting review.
