Read about this product on EWG and heard about it from a few friends so I purchased some. Amazon had it for a great price and I like that it’s 50+ and is the “sport” variety (as opposed to thinkbaby) which can be used despite sweating, swimming, etc. my kids are very active and, like most kids, hate putting on sunscreen so I want something that’s effective, stays on for a while, keeps up with them, and most importantly keeps them safe from the sun and from chemicals in sunscreen. This checks all of my boxes.Pro parent tip: when we do sunscreen on our kids we tell them we’re going to make them look like a ghost, t-Rex, lion, cheetah, basically anything they like. They love to look scary so we tell them to go scare the other parent and the only way for the other parent to stop being scared is to rub the sunscreen in. This has been working for a few months now so I’ll take it. If it helps you, great! Read more

Applied very liberally and more than once in a 2 hour time frame to entire family and we all got a very bad sunburn. I expected more considering it was listed as an EWG top natural sunscreen. I've been using Blue Lizzard for years and never once had anything like this happen. I don't know if it is because summer time shipping with the heat degrades the product. but I have bought Blue Lizzard in the height of summer with no trouble. And to boot this product is supposed to be SPF50 and didn't come close to the protection of its competitor whose SPF30. Extremely dissatisfied and burned literally! Read more

I have used thinkbaby sunscreen since my children were little and have always loved it. I decided to switch to the thinksport kids since they are now getting older and am sorry that I did. We were out in the sun for under 3 hours with 2 liberal applications and both of my children have a terrible, terrible sunburn. I applied as I used to with the thinkbaby (my kids would get no sun), so there should have been no way to get this badly burnt. I feel terrible and will not be using this sunscreen ever again. Spent a week on the beach and didn’t burn. Couldn’t ask for more. It has a bit of a white tint, but applying it in sections and rubbing it in well makes it hardly noticeable. (This is an issue for my Teen. I don’t care. I just want to play in the water and not get burned!) Didn’t dry out or irritate our sensitive skin, didn’t make my younger son’s eyes water (most sunscreens, chemical or mineral, do), and was also very waterproof without that nasty second-skin feeling you get from some waterproof sunscreens. A 6 oz. tube, with multiple daily applications, lasted the three of us for the week. Read more

Realistically, physical-barrier sunscreens are never going to rub in as well as the chemical-barrier ones - but if you have decided you want to use a physical barrier one this is your best bet. Most of them are pretty expensive but I can usually find Thinksport at a good price, and it smells good and works well.By the way, Thinksport regular, kids, and baby are all the same product, except regular has a different scent (which I don't love). I spent some time researching different sunscreens in an attempt to find some with the least amount of toxic chemicals in them. This came up in my search & I was very happy when I read through the ingredients so I bought it. I wasn't sold quite yet, though. In mid Oct, my family & I went to Orlando, FL for an entire week. It was extremely humid & we were all sweating excessively for most of the day. We applied this sunscreen at the beginning of each day, & only ONE time mind you. None of us got a sunburn whatsoever. Not even my extremely white, sensitive skin toddler. To say I am happy with this product is an understatement. I see no reason to buy anything else again! Read more

We chose this sunblock because it was ranked 1 on the recommended safe sunblocks according to EWG (one being the best rank). It applies evenly and blends in well (no caked on white face). It has a light pleasant smell. A little of it goes a long, long way coverage wise. The kids and adults love this sunblock in our family. We will definitely be ordering again. Read more

Honest review here. Recently saw an article about how bad sunscreen can be for you and immediately started doing research online. This came highly recommended and was on the safe list from the EWG.For me with two kids I needs something that goes on easily, lasts at least 80 minutes and isn't clumpy and thick. This is awesome and fits all those descriptions. Easy to apply, great rating from EWG and last 80 minutes. I have used it several days now and could not be happier with it. I will definitely be re-ordering. This was also a great value too (compared to some that are over 10 dollars for 2 onces). HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Read more

Very good physical sunscreen for children. Included a picture of what it looks like on the skin. It is slightly greasy and has a noticeable white cast. It has a light almost tropical smoothie or creamsicle scent to it. Smells pretty good. It is a little more pricier than other childrens sunscreens. I don't mind paying extra because it is very good quality and has a high rating on many sunscreen websites. Would definitely recommend other parent to purchase this brand. Read more

I would highly NOT recommend this product. My two sons used it and on day 5 my 12 yrs old developed a rash on his neck (see the photo). The rash resulted in a brown discoloration and it is itchy. My 9 yr old had something similiar, but not as pronounced. If you look at the 1 star reviews on the Amazon.com site, there are a few other reported incidences like this. The rash is not going away and it has been 1 1/2 weeks now. There are no other variables in our lives I can think of that would have caused this, and my 12 yr old does not have sensitive skin... Awesome sunscreen. The reviews that talk about the white factor are obviously not familiar with a zinc-based sunscreen - all will have this effect to some degree because that’s what makes zinc a good sun blocker. I’ve used lots of zinc sunscreens and this one, by far, spreads the best and smells the best. Even better, it doesn’t have the toxic crap most other sunscreens have. I will be a repeat buyer for sure. Read more

Bought this to use for my daughter on a trip. After one day of use, she developed a rash all over her stomach, chest, and face. Ironically we then used Banana Boat (the only thing else available), and she didn’t react. Having said that though, I used the “adult” version and had no isssues, and I would use it again. I think you just need to be aware that you could react to this product, but really, that is a possibility with any product you use. Read more

I write this review with some disappointment...because my husband lost this huge tube at Disney :( Otherwise, it’s the very best...we’ve used it since our first summer with our baby and he’s now 2.5. It goes on really well, rubs in easily and isnt greasy (we always use a stick for his face though). Super worth the money and the best deal I’ve found was Amazon. Read more
