It keeps water cold all day and doesn't leak...what more can I say?! When I first got these I filled them up and tested for leaking. When the lid was closed and I laid it on its side there was water in the top when I opened it. I was bummed. Looked like the water was leaking out of the vent for the straw. Then I noticed a little knobby thing (yup that's the technical term) on the lid that clearly was supposed to plug that hole when the lid closed. After checking it out more I realized when i put the straw in, the part you sip on, I didn't get it all the way up. So you push it in from the underside, but after you do that, grab the part you sip on and give it a tug. It will come up through the lid just a little bit more. Then I closed the lid and it hasn't leaked since.I think anyone else with reviews saying it leaks probably hasn't figured this out. And whoever uploaded the video of it leaking, aka pouring out of the straw when the lid isn't closed...ah duh lady. Straws don't seal themselves. Of course tipping it upside down will make the water pour out. Come on.It comes in a ton of different options and my kids love them! Also, they're not that heavy. Honestly don't know why there are so many positive reviews on this item. I literally never write reviews but went out of my way to write a negative review on this because it LEAKS ALL THE TIME!!! Drives me crazy. It's great that it's stainless steal and minimal plastic, PBA free, etc but seriously every time we use it my toddler is sitting in a puddle in the stroller or car seat. It's so frustrating. I want to like it but I just had to throw all of them away because we needed multiple outfit changes from the leaks. If you don't mind getting constantly wet or it's for an older child that doesn't sit in a seat then maybe it's better but I can't take it anymore. Read more

I have twins and wanted to order pink and purple thermos. I thought I was going crazy because the blue came but it has a hint of violet so I wasnt completely sure. I ordered violet again and once again another blue came I’m stubborn and determined so I ordered it one last time and the purple finally came.The handles are different on the same listing ..I like the bigger handle, I think it’s easier for toddlers to hold however the purple only comes in the small handle and the pink one is advertised with a large handle but when I got it it was small.It’s not 100% leak proof when you flip it over completely it does leak however if they put it on the floor sideways it doesn’t leak out. It also does not leak when the top is snapped on.Overall I do like it but with some modifications, and wish it didn’t take 3 times to get the right color. These bottles are far worse than Zak and Contigo. They leak all over the place and both my kids ate the tip of the tiny, thin straw off. When my son holds his closed water bottle upside down, water still manages to pour out. I ordered two of these and threw both in the trash. I switched to Camelbak, which works much better and is equally easy to clean (though I do recommend getting a tiny brush to thoroughly clean the mouthpiece). Read more

This thermos is fantastic for my 5-year-old daughter. She takes it to school every day and it keeps water cold until well after she gets home. She loves the pink color of it too. And as a parent, I love that it's a color rather than a character she may grow out of in a month or two.It's a few inches taller than other smaller water bottles I've purchased but it still fits in her lunch box and the side mesh pocket of her backpack.Cleaning it is pretty easy. The product details say dishwasher safe which I was excited about. But when I got it home and looked at the paper that came with it, it says top rack only and that washing in the dishwasher may cause the color on the outside to scratch. I haven't had a problem with it yet but it's only been a week. Otherwise, the pieces come out easily (see pictures) to wash and I love that the straw mouth piece is a flat circle rather than one with a lip on it, making it easier to clean.The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars is that it does leak if you too it over through the small air hole (not the drinking hole). Since my daughter is 5, it's no big deal for her. However, if my 1-year-old gets a hold of it, it spills everywhere. Something to keep in mind if you don't want any leaks.But otherwise, love this water bottle and we'll be using it for awhile! Read more

My kids have used 'Thermos Funtainers' for 7 years. This style does the 2 things I need - they don't leak and they stay cold until lunchtime. (My daughter even wanted to drink from hers when lunch was at home this past year, so I know they don't alter the taste of their drink.) Two of my children can't drink cow's milk so they take non-dairy milk to school, camp, or on road trips. I just ordered 1 more of these leakproof, stay-cold, beverage containers now that school is back in person; an extra so I won't have to wash them every night.BUT, I am not sure how the new handle will hold up... It seems like it's going to snap off after it gets in the way of the user too many times?? I'll update ONLY if it breaks. (Pics show the 'new handle' vs original.)The kids don't use the handle, really, but the new style is made so that if the handle breaks off it will expose 2 holes in the lid.Hints I have learned over the years: Put the empty cannister only (no lid or straw) into the fridge overnight OR the freezer for a few minutes in the morning to keep the container colder longer when on the go. Not needed, but does help if it's a hot day.Have your kid (or you) rinse out their thermos as soon as they are able when they get home. A simple flush of water - not a wasteful amount! :) - through the straw helps it from getting clogged. If you forget to do the pre-rinse then make sure you have a good straw cleaning brush or pipe cleaner.If you wash in the dishwasher, top rack only does matter and separate all 3 parts of the lid/straw every time - it will make the parts last longer. Disgusted. I don’t usually write reviews but feel compelled. I bought two more of these cups for my daughter as I quite like the one she has already. They both arrived same day. This green cup has what appears to be peanut butter or a similar substance in the button as well as on the top of the lid (once I flipped the lid open). I thought there is no way the cup is used, until until I opened the thermos and the straw was already attached (the new paw patrol funtainer straw was loose) and the instructions sticky was unsealed. This review is for people planning on putting this in their kids backpacks and sending them to school with it.First off, you won’t find it mentioned here, but once you receive the bottle one of the first things you’ll note is that it’s not recommended for hot drinks. It just keeps water colder, longer.So the whole insulated part is pointless. It’s just makes it heavier and smaller.Which brings me to my next point, this bottle is heavy and very small. You’ll be disappointed with the amount of liquid it holds and your kids will finish it daily.It leaks. Ok? No more excuses, no tips or tricks on “how to get it to stop leaking”, it. Leaks. I have two, they both leak. They are fundamentally flawed in their design. The air hole for the straw leaks. It always leaks. They are a constant source of frustration. We have to ensure and stress that they always stay upright, or try to triple check and test that the lid knob thing lines up perfect with the straw hole.
