I have been battling dry eyes my entire life. I can't remember a day I woke up where I didn't have bloodshot eyes and they would stay that way until I used drops. Even then I would have to continuously put drops in throughout the day. You name the brand, I tried it. I came across these about 6 months ago and for the first time in my life I don't wake up with burning dry eyes and I don't need to add drops constantly throughout the days. Most drops when applied burn and force your eyes to make tears. Somehow, there is no burn with these and yet they still work? Part of it is that these aren't designed to burn your eyes and force tears. Rather, they are designed to mimic tears and moisturize. This means everyday when you're adding drops you're not tearing your natural eye lubricants apart but instead helping build them up. This makes it so your eyes are not contingent on getting drops constantly to maintain forced moisture. I apply them once in the morning every other day and that is all it takes now. Honestly, if you get a high quality omega 3 fish oil supplement and take one pill and a day in coordination with these every day or two, you too could finally get rid of the red eye curse. I didn't get a discount on this or anything, I'm just writing the review to help anyone else like me who has a similar annoying and constant fight on their hands. Hope this helps. Cheers! Read more

Beware of this product if you suffer from chronic dry eye syndrome! Just got back from an emergency Saturday morning trip to my Eye Surgeon.I woke up this past Thursday morning at about 4:00 am and could not open my right eye. After squinting and trying again, it opened, but caused extreme pain and swelling as the action almost pulled off my cataract surgery implant (from a year ago).I've been using the TheraTears drops for a few months now, and had found it a big nuisance that residue would build up on my eyelids, and in my eyelashes. This residue was not just crusty, it would peel off in large pieces, as if it had glue in it!Well, I had put a few drops in my eyes before bed Wednesday night, but my eyes dried out overnight. Apparently, the substance in the ThereTear drops bounded the inside of my eyelid, to my cornea overnight. My eye doctor agreed that this must have been the cause (nothing else to attribute it to), and told me to Discontinue using the TheraTears drops! The cornea in my right eye is bruised and swollen, and it will be weeks before the vision will return to normal ! Read more

I have severe dry eye and am allergic to preservatives used in eye lubricants. I hate the costly little vials that are supposed to be used once with the left over solution thrown away. I tried other bottled brands with no preservative and liked them. When it was time to reorder I saw this brand in an economy size and decided to try it. The first drop in my right eye was heavenly! I didn't know my agitated eyes could feel so good! Absolutely fantastic! The itching and burning is gone...EUREKA! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Read more

As someone who uses A LOT of electronics, especially due to my job, I highly recommend these eye drops. I started experimenting with different brands after driving to/from work and on multiple occasions feeling a sharp painful feeling in my eyes and having to squint to relieve the pain while still trying to keep my eyes open to drive properly. While other brands seemed 'okay' and helped prevent these scary situations, I found this particular brand to feel the best. It feels smooth and cool on my eyeballs with no sticky feeling like other brands. It also works pretty quick as my eyes feel freshensd within a few minutes. One downside is that it isn't guaranteed to remove red eyes. My eyes tend to get reddish when tired, and while the drops help with any irritation I feel, my eyes can still look a bit red. I think I just have particularly sensitive eyes however, so I won't knock a star off for that.I would recommend getting these every month. While there's enough liquid to last multiple months depending on how often you use them, it seems the most 'fresh' on my eyes when used within a month's time. Personally I have them on a monthly subscription shipment. Read more

These eye drops were recommended to me by my ophthalmologist, who I trust completely. I've had four eye surgeries, two surgeries in each eye, for damages my eyes received after an accident. The surgeries - eventually - gave me the best eyesight I've ever had in my life, but they also left me with very dry, itchy eyes. As anyone who's had eye surgery knows, they must not rub their eyes after surgery, and sometimes this prohibition against rubbing, as is my case, lasts a lifetime.I've tried several different brands of eye drops, with varying degrees of success. I use eyelash washes daily, (and I was told by the optometrist during one of my checkups that my eyelashes were "extremely clean"). However, when the doctor took a look, he agreed with the optometrist that my eyes were "very dry." He prescribed TheraTears, and I began using them that afternoon, evening, and before bed. By morning, my eyes were feeling significantly better.Since that time, I've been using TheraTears morning and evening. My eyes are so comfortable now. They feel very hydrated, with no dryness. Unless you've actually experienced very dry eyes, you can't imagine how uncomfortable they can be. Imagine a case of poison ivy in your eyes, and just wanting to rub and rub and rub, but you dare not. I always have a bottle of TheraTears in my medicine cabinet now and another in my purse. TheraTears also contain no preservatives, which is very important, since preservatives can actually make a dry eye condition worse. If you've ever suffered from dry eyes, or just scratchy, itchy eyes, and other eye drops have let you down, give TheraTears a try. I really think you'll notice an almost immediate improvement. Read more

I love this product. I've had LASIK in 2010 and my eyes do get a bit dry since the surgery, especially in the mornings. I normally have dry eyes even before the surgery anyway and having dry eyes affect my visual acuity to a certain extent. Immediately post surgery, I was given a different product (Blink Amo Intensive Tears) to try, but I had to use those drops several times a day and didn't feel it was very effective. Blink Amo also contains preservatives. I have also tried lots of other products like Refresh Plus and Celluvisc but didn't like them as they came in individual vials (the price you have to pay for preservative-free drops), were very viscous and left crusts around my eye.I went to the USA for a holiday a few months later and was recommended TheraTears by a friend there. I prefer eye drops which are free from preservatives but I have never been very good with using the drops in individual vials and felt they were wasteful. The fact that this product comes in a relatively large bottle appealed to me. It also contains a preserving ingredient that becomes preservative-free on eye contact. I haven't researched the science into it but I haven't experienced any discomfort or stinging. I only use this product once a day, as soon as I wake up. If you prefer not to be exposed to this ingredient, this product also comes in individual vials which do not have any preserving ingredients.I have used this product for over two years and always buy the 1oz size because it is economical. Each 1 Oz bottle lasts me approximately 3 months. All in all, I am very happy with this product. Please note: This product is based in the USA, most sellers on here are based there so it will take a while to ship to the UK (probably 2 weeks). Please check where your seller is based first before buying, this is important when you are running low, make sure you buy this product a month before you current one runs out! I usually buy 2 x 1oz bottles in one go. Read more

Immediately notice a difference in quality between this and the more common high st brands. After moving to an office with strong A/C my eyes became incredibly bloodshot and dry. Used this 3 times a day first week, and cycled down to once a day by week three. Huge improvement after just a few days. Haven't used it for a couple weeks now but eyes still in great shape. In no uncertain terms without these my ability to work at the computer would be over. Nothing works as well. They are expensive and hence i use other cheaper drops as well. But when i have a bad day/week I must revert to the Thera Tears just to get by, they are the only drops that seem to work.. and i've tried them allin reply to the person who says they still have preservatives in them.my eyes are very very very sensitive to preservatives.if i put any drop with preservative in them my eyes immediately react in a very painful way.the 'preservative' in theratears is so incredibly mild i can and do (and must do get by every day) use theratears drops as often as i want - with no complications Read more
