I have a dry eye condition and was using Restasis. I got tested and my tear production was low. I had been using the Rx. The price went up to quite a bit so I decided to try these eye drops and use regularly as I did the Rx. Well I went back to the Dr. after using for 2 1/2 months and my tear production was the best ever. A lot cheaper than the Rx and works better. Read more
I wish it came in a bigger bottle, but I really do like this product over and above the regular Thera Tears, which I used to like until this came along. I have Sjogren's Syndrome and my eyes are super dry 100% of the time. I have one complaint though, that is that when I forget to use my liquid tears regularly and my eyes get more dry than usual these will make them feel even drier before they feel better. So, I have to put in some drops, wait a couple of minutes and my eyes are screaming with dryness, then I need to add drops about every 5 minutes for a half hour to an hour. This is not the fault of the product because I have never found a product that doesn't do that. But I am saying this for those like me who hoped that these drops may solve those super dry times when it hurts like crazy - it doesn't - just don't forget regular application of your drops and then they work wonderfully. Wow! I have SEVERE dry eyes from my auto immune disorder which affects the tear production of my eyes directly & in the winter it’s 10x worse. Usually I’ll get a prescription but I moved and the Dr’s can’t get me in until a few months from now with Covid going on. So I had to find something for relief! I used the normal or regular strength of this in their bigger bottle but I would go through it so quick. Using 6 - 10 drops sometimes in One eye multiple times a day and finding my eyes were dry AGAIN an hour later. So I seen this and said I have to try something! And I’m IMPRESSED!!! I haven’t felt my eyes feel so calm and moisturized like this in a LONG time. Summertime when my eyes aren’t effected to be exact! I could IMMEDIATELY tell this one is WAY better than the regular and last MUCH longer & I use less! I put 2 drops in each eye and HOURS went by and I was still fine! Now when it comes to sleep and waking up, it holds up much better than the regular strength but not as strong as the Dr prescription. But it SAVED ME! I put two drops in my eyes before sleeping and wake up 6 hours later and they feel slightly dry but not painfully dry like before with the regular strength. I’m not sure what people are talking about when they feel no difference between the strengths?!? There’s DEFINITELY a difference! I’d say get it! It saved me and I’m sure it can help you too! I was suffering with dry eyes and through my vision was going because I'm over 80. But with application of the EXTRA Moisturising Eye Drop , my vision cleared up like I was 15 years younger. This new product calle EXTRA is hard to find and expensive but one small container lasts a long time and well worth the expense. I recommended it to friends and they find it works really well for them also. Read more
First of all I want to say that I am a contact lens wearer. These drops cannot be used with contact lenses, but I use them at night after I take my contacts out. And I also put them in first thing in the morning and wait about 15 minutes before I put my contacts in. My eyes have been getting drier recently. Age? Perhaps, but it seems more climate related to me. I know a lot of people having this issue who are in their 20s. I live in Los Angeles where the air can be hard on your eyes. I did go to the ophthalmologist and he told me that yes my eyes seem to dry but otherwise there wasn't anything wrong with them and he suggested that I use eyedrops but didn't use a preservative and named Thera tears as one to try. So I got them. My doctor suggested that I try to wear my contacts less (which is hard) and that when I do wear them, that I use Thera-Tears after I take my contact lenses out at night And first thing in the morning when I wake up, to use the drops. And just wait 15 minutes or so before I put my contacts in. It seemed to make sense at first because Los Angeles has always been dry, or used to be, that my eyes would get drier. And maybe that would get worse as I got older. But what seemed so odd is that it's been especially humid in LA the last couple of years. This year especially. So why my eyes were so dry? I thought at least the humidity would alleviate that problem. I kept checking the humidity when my eyes felt the worst, and every time, my eyes were really dry, it was especially humid. This seemed bizarre. So of course I googled and googled. And eventually I found out that, while dry climates cause dry eyes, HUMIDITY also makes one's eyes dry. I really couldn't believe this which is why am sharing it. But it is true. And my doctor confirmed it. I had thought that the one good thing about the awful humidity was that my eyes would feel better, but just the opposite occurred. So high humidity means my back hurts, my hairfrizzes, my eyes are dry and my face sweats off my makeup- So I feel and look awful lol. If you live in Los Angeles, just know that there is something called White Seal that effectiively turns streets whites which lowers the temperature by ten degrees. Just google Los Angeles paints streets white. And the more you let your city councilman know, or write the LA Times, the quicker they'll hit your neighborhood. Read more
My eyes are dry. Whether it be from contact lenses, allergies here in Florida (something is always blooming/growing/seeding), dust/lights/pc screen usage in an office setting. I have tried many brands, including prescription. I really have found this to be best, and most helpful, and I even have my mom at 85 using these over prescription brands. They are gentle, no burning, and used 2-3 times a day really help. I would recommend this brand, at least give it a try. Read more
I have been using a different brand of eye drops for years and just recently switched to Thera Tears. The applicator is so much better because it dispenses just the right amount in each eye. Other brands dispense more each time and it ends up running down your face, or at least it did for me. So glad I switched! Read more
