I got the "Third Date" shade of this theBalm Clean and Green Powder Blush. The color is a warm, peach-leaning shimmery light pink that works with many skin tones and it suitable for daytime looks. It blends well and longevity is good.I like that it doesn't contain talc, which isn't a problem in and of itself as an ingredient but is unfortunately often contaminated with asbestos, so I try to avoid it in eyeshadows and blushes.The packaging has a fun retro look, and comes with an outer sleeve to keep it secure during shipment. I like how it looks like a small book and is recyclable.It's made in the USA. I’ve worn theBalm makeup for decades. Their bronzers and blush are some of my absolute favorites. When this arrived, I was bummed that it looked so light and kind of “blah” in the palette. I usually go for a bolder cheek with a bright pop of color. I tried a little on the back of my hand and could barely see it.Then I put it on my cheeks…. WOWZERS! 🥰 It’s sooooooooooo gorgeous. This is definitely my new favorite blush. It goes on smoothly and has tons of pigment. The color payoff is pretty amazing. Use a light hand for a sheer wash of color, or keep building it for more drama. This has a small amount of shimmer; it’s not glittery or metallic, but has just enough to give your skin a healthy, radiant glow. Also helps smooth and camouflage enlarged pores. I love the clean list of ingredients and the recycled and recyclable packaging. Having said that, this is not the type of packaging you would throw in your makeup bag and take with you to work, school, or the gym. It's made of paper and will not hold up after heavy traveling. For me it's not an issue, my makeup stays on my vanity. I appreciate the minimalist design, there's no waste or extras that I don't need. Like those mini blush brushes that come with some blushes that we all throw right in the trash because they are useless or those cheap powder puffs that shred to bits after a week. Don't need 'em, don't want 'em! I have my own! The color I have it "third date" it is fine for my ivory skin, but I typically go for rosey cool shades and this is on the warmer peachy side. I am pretty pale and I have blue undertones to my skin as well, this gives me a nice peachy glow that blends well and looks natural. It does have mica in it so there is a luminous quality to it. theBalm Clean and Green Powder BlushI love this blush shade - it is perfect for my light-medium skin tone and gives your cheeks a light wash of color with a subtle shine. It is the perfect shade of peachy pink. I am not big on blush but this works really well and it is buildable - I only need a bit to get the color I want. The Balm is probably my favorite makeup company. I have several of their eyeshadow kits and a magnetic palette which is just amazing. I loved this product’s packaging, it is described as recyclable. Plus its clean ingredients.IT has a chic, pin up style.I found this product very affordable based on the good quality of this product. It comes in three different shades, the one I got is called “third date”Size is perfect, it fits my makeup bag, my purse. It can go anywhere with me and wont take too much space.I usually do not wear a lot of blush, and i usually pick very light color, but this shade is lovely.It is some sort of mix between bronzer and blush, and made my cheeks look great. Rosey tone, shimmery. Beautiful.It doesn’t wear off, it actually last very long, which is great, and you do not need to wear a lot of product to get a good tone on your cheeks.I am looking forward trying the other two shades. This blush is so pretty. It has a subtle shimmer and a smooth application (not patchy), and picks up on the brush with zero effort other than a quick dip or swipe. It’s not intensely pigmented, but the color definitely shows up and adds a natural and beautiful berry flush—it’s foolproof! I also love that the blush pan is fairly wide so my brush can easily pick up the product, while the actual package is slim and small. I actually love the simplicity of this design because all I really care about is the blush itself and not a bunch of packaging frills. I’ve always wanted to try The Balm products because the themes for their products are so fun and sassy, and based on this experience, I’d definitely be open to exploring more of their products.
