I don't write a ton of reviews, but wanted to go out of my way on this one due to the story. I didn't notice the Sunshine Industries story before buying, but read it in the packaging, and am so happy that my money is going towards a US company that empowers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The price isn't very high and the product is super simple.This is essentially a laser cut piece from a large sheet of plastic mirror material, bagged up with a suction cup included. It ships with the clear side covered with sticker paper (you can still see some burn marks on the paper from the laser cutter). I plan to keep it in my travel toiletries bag, inside the included plastic bag to prevent scratches while not in use. I've had this for 5 months now and have to say that it is an ideal little shaving mirror. Regarding other's criticism about fog; unless you shave within a minute or so of entering the shower, the mirror is light in mass and will be up to ambient temperature by the time you shave and fogging should not be an issue. The key is to apply a small amount of soap applied to the end of your finger and to wipe the mirror prior to use. This will favorably alter the surface tension of the water beads and will give you a nice, clear reflective surface. The issue is not fog, it is water beads, and this resolves that issue which you would see with any mirror. Beyond that, the only other thought would be to try some Rain-X product, but I think this would not work as well as it would likely leave you with small water beads vs. the nice breakdown of beading that is accomplished by using a tiny amount of soap.If I had to be hyper-critical, the only recommendation would be to make it maybe 1/2" larger in either axis. That change might be a negative for others who like to use this for travel, so frankly, I would leave it as is. I purchased this shaving shower mirror in August of 2017 and have been using it consistently since. Over time, though, the mirror backing had started to flake away. I contacted the company (they had placed a sticker on the back of the mirror saying that they stand 100% behind their products and to contact them at an email address for help with their products) for help.My email time/date stamp shows that I sent it at 8:42pm in the evening. Within 5 minutes the company responded! No kidding! Within 10 minutes of my initial email, answering a few questions, and providing my home address, I was told that a replacement mirror would be shipped out the next day. (I learned that the mirror backing was flaking off because we have well water in our home that isn't softened. I had purchased the wrong mirror for our type of water. They have a different product for the water we have and that is what they are sending me.)If only every company provided such stellar product and customer support. I have lived months on end in a tent periodically throughout my life. I like to keep camp simple. Anyone living outside or in mobile situations needs a good camp mirror. I have gone through a dozen, I’m sure. They work great until they don’t. They break so easily. When I bought my first Shave Well Fogless Travel Mirror, I knew I had the perfect mirror for me for all trips from now on. The mirror is made of fine durable plastic. Don’t be fooled. The reflection is as good as any glass mirror I have ever handled. It is a perfect fit for my hand and has a hole that’s useful for mounting, whether on a hook in the guest bathroom or on a branch at my favorite campsite in the New Mexico mountains. This mirror works well for shaving in the shower while it lasts. Great way to get two things done at once! However, I give it 3 stars for a couple reasons. First, when I purchased mine, It said it was an anti fog shower mirror which is actually what sold me on it. Well you know how its anti fog? You have to run Hot water over it in order to make the mirror the same temperature as your shower which makes it anti fog. Well if I do that to any mirror, it will be anti fog! Second, after about 6 months of use, the back started to peel off and come to find out it was the acutall mirror that was peeling off the back. So now I have a huge line of peeled off mirror running straight through the middle. Not a terrible mirror but I expected it to last a little longer than that. Overall not a bad product. I bought this mirror after my ToiletTree mirror fell off after a few years. The ToiletTree mirror left a residue from the silicone adhesive and I didn't want to deal with that again, so I got this mirror instead. This mirror does the job, though I have to run it under water 3-4 times per shave in order to maintain its fog-free qualities. The ToiletTree mirror worked much better in terms of fog-freeness, but I ended up concluding that it's not worth the installation hassle and possible headache from the leftover silicone adhesive residue. I am such a fan of these mirrors I have bought about 4 of them! They come one in two sizes, the smaller one ideal for a washbag. With the little sucker hook it means you can shave in a shower wherever you are. Vital? Not really but it makes life just a tiny bit easier and since I can't sort Syria out, this is my contribution ... Big one is quite big. And I think they are made by a charity which makes me feel even better - though not about Syria, obviously. Read more

As a mirror/function, it is perfect, as it advertised.But the quality?! Well, it had been cut from acrylic, and this is everything they did for manufacture. No edge chamfer or rounding at all, no sanding at all. When they wrote a shaving mirror, they probably mean shaving with the mirror's edge... But in this case, you have to buy a 2nd one to see yourself. What a great business idea!BTW, with sandpaper, it is easy to fix this problem... Read more

I bought this to use in the shower while I trim my beard. One thing I would advise is to double check that you are happy with the size of the mirror as its a clearly stated as a portable mirror and to that end it works well although you may find it a bit small. It has a very, very strong suction cup so after three weeks its still on my shower wall not that you'd need to worry as the mirror is plastic so even if it did fall off it wouldn't shatter like glass. The biggest issue I've experienced is despite following the instructions, holding it under shower head for 30 seconds while the shower is on to get the mirror the same temperature as the environment, it still fogs up. Luckily this doesn't affect me as I use the mirror while the shower is off but if you are planning on using it while the shower is running this is something to be mindful of. Read more

We’ve changed our bathroom, we’ve taken out the bath and put in a large shower. Apparently the only thing missing according to my hubby was a shaving mirror.This is a handy small mirror and while we won’t use it for travelling it’s small enough to store on a shower shelf.I wanted to hang it from the tiles but the suction cup needs a smooth surface and our tiles are definitely not that.We hang the hook from the shower door and then peel it off once finished.It works well. Looked at a lot of mirrors which would help me shave in the shower and this has been a good solution. It is a relatively small shower cubicle that it is used in , so keep in mind a bigger shower would probably have better results.The mirror is a good enough size for shaving and the biggest worry is obviously the steaming up. You must wait until the shower has reached its hottest and then put the mirror under the shower for 10-20 seconds in order to warm up. This then won't steam up for awhile. Now the problem I have is that it will eventually steam up after a minute or so, but I think this is down to the act that it might be picking up my breath and the fact that the wall it is is probably cooling it down a bit.Overall I am happy with the mirror and would recommend.
