Product Description Zakia's Morocco Beauty Treatments Humble beginnings Zakia's Morocco was founded in 2009 in Miami and now have offices in the USA, Paris and Morocco. My husband and I wanted to introduce the extraordinary benefits of the traditional Hammam Spa. I grew up loving how clean, refreshed and rejuvenated a Hammam left me feel and knew this was missing in many households. Thus, we started out recreating the products that are at the core of Moroccan Hammam and importing them to the USA. Thus, Zakia's Morocco was born. What makes our products unique? Our products are traditional products that are used in the daily Hammam routine. Moroccan Black Soap, Ghassoul Clay Mask Argan Oil and of course, the Kessa Exfoliating Glove Read more KESSA EXFOLIATION GLOVE Exfoliate for healthy, beautiful skin Zakia's secret to beautiful skin -Scrub, scrub, scrub. No matter how often you cleanse, moisturize, and treat your skin it will never achieve that beautiful healthy rich glow without proper dead skin removal. Kessa helps remove old skin cells and other debris and particles from your skin. This will expose the healthy cells and rid your body of the old ones. A Moroccan Kessa work wonders! Forget all those harmful and less effective chemical wraps, pastes and fake muds. Discover the vibrant healthy glow of your skin the natural way. The glove’s unique natural rayon crepe fabric quickly and gently gets rid of surface layer dead skin, impurities and excess oil so necessary for healthy vibrant skin. The energetic massage will leave your skin rejuvenated and refreshed. An essential part of our Moroccan skincare routine it essential to scrub at least twice per month. These gloves are inexpensive and will last for many, many sessions. Benefits: Deep Cleans - Great skin must start with good hygiene. Washing with Moroccan Black Soap is highly recommended prior to exfoliation as this helps prepare the skin for removal. Exfoliation removes all unwanted dirt, grime and dead skin cells. Self tanning and Tattoo maintenance- this is a must by preparing the skin for the perfect smooth, application of your favourite self-tanning product. Consider exfoliation as an essential part of your self-tanning routine. Tattoos require attention too and exfoliation keeps them smooth and clear. Dry bumpy skin and ingrown hair- regular exfoliation with a Kessa helps break down and polish your skin by removing all those unwanted bumps and irregularities. Skin Moisturizing - Exfoliation is important to remove dead skin and reveal healthy younger skin. This also allows for better absorption for your favourite moisturizer - we love Argan Oil as the perfect natural and organic moisturizer Open up those pores with a hot shower or bath Start by washing with Moroccan Black Soap. Use either your hands or loofah to apply. Try leaving on for a few minutes to allow for the soap to deep clean while your pores are opened. Best to not use traditional soaps or shampoo as they have lubricants that leave a slippery residue that makes exfoliation less effective. Scrub on hot, moist skin Scrub all over. Be careful around your face and delicate areas. Rub in a back-forth motion. Rubbing too hard and circular tends to put too much stress on your skin and may irritate. While a bit uncomfortable in the beginning you will see the skin start to peel away. Your skin needs to regenerate and this process helps develop healthy skin. Don't rub to excess. You should not use the Kessa Glove if you are currently experiencing any of the following: Generally have thin, delicate, or sensitive skin; currently have sun-damage skin; currently experiencing an allergic skin reaction or outbreak; currently experiencing skin inflammation or swelling; currently have wounded or a scratched skin * Important Notes: The Kessa glove should not be used on delicate skin areas, such as around the eyes. Glove shrinks by 20% after washing. Peeling dead skin Use after a good hot soak and cleaning with Moroccan Black Soap. Having prepared the skin for exfoliation use by rubbing in a back and forth motion. Do not rub in a circular motion as this tends to over stress a small area resulting in abrasion. Try rubbing lightly at first and then with more pressure. It may be a bit uncomfortable, but it is important to rub well to remove the desired layer of dead skin. After a few moments your skin will start to peel away right before your eyes. Not necessarily pretty, but oh so effective. Don't overdo it on your first go. You want to only remove the surface dirt and dead skin and not your entire epidermis. Use on back, arms, breasts, legs and face. The face should be done very, very delicately. Rinse and dry off. Then apply 100% pure, organic Argan Oil as the perfect moisturizer. Your skin will be luxuriously smooth and healthy. Moisturize MOISTURIZE! Use 100% pure, organic Argan Oil or try our Argan Shea Butter Balm. Great for deep moisturizing and hydrating skin cells. This is the holy grail of exfoliation people; and i know my sh!t. I’m an RN with 10+ years spent in Derm, Plastics, Med spas, etc. I’ve seen and tried it all with regards to product, treatments and tools. I didn’t even do the “black soap first-take my time to steam up the shower” bit and my results were AMAZING!!! I was writing the review in my head watching all the disgusting dead skin and old product peel off me. Whoever is giving less 5 stars is either using it wrong (i don’t know how that’s possible though. you just rub back and forth). The most important thing: DO NOT USE SOAP with this mitt!!!! Wash yourself first with something else, rinse all the residue off THEN exfoliate with this little piece of magic. Seriously the best mechanical skin exfoliation i’ve ever experienced and that includes spa & medicalgrade treatments. Oh wait I lied; I burn my face off once or twice a year with a Pixel laserbecause I can get the service for free! I amcautiously optimistic to see the effect on my KP; will update.Edit for update: Ok this has cured my KP/ ingrown problem bikini line. Yes I said cured. I’m still using without soap; trust me that’s the key part. Start on back of upper arms, be patient til you get a little peel going; at that point the dead skin should start rolling off. Read more
I would give it 4 stars. It's a good kiseh. But it's not as hardcore or good quality as an original Persian Kiseh and ergo, doesn't really go as deep as I'm used to. So I docked two stars off. After washing in warm water, I scrubbed and had lots of "chirk" fall off (Persian word for dead skin cells). It does the job to a degree but loses its "scrub-ility" after some time.A real Kiseh is thicker, unlike this thin flimsy replica, and can be used for years if taken care of properly. Fun History Fact: it originated and was used in Persian and Turkish bathhouses for centuries to reveal beautiful skin underneath. The word Kiseh itself, pronounced "KEE-SEH" is a Persian word referring to a "sack" or cloth-like material to carry as a bag.Its hard to find an authentic Kiseh so this is pretty close to what works. But again, if you're used to the real deal you might not feel as clean as you would with Sefidab (powdered tab used as soap) and a real Kiseh. If this is your first time, you should try it out. The level of exfoliation is good for sensitive skin as well. It is an okay kiseh-replica to start off your body exfoliation journey with.*The picture I attached is not of my body but the advertised picture of the company. Sadly, I discarded the Kiseh because it stopped working after a month or two. But when it did work, the results were very accurate to the picture I've posted. This is just to show an accurate depiction of what your results may look like. Read more
The glove part is amazing and exfoliates well. The elastic band however is poorly stitched and separated from the wrist elastic within 3 uses and now has a gaping hole that's getting worse with use. Also, the elastic is so tight it's hard to get it over your wrist. Read more
This and their tub of Moroccan Black soap are the bomb. I use as directed once a week: nice long hot shower (10 min), soap up with about 1/2 tsp of soap. I turn water off and shave or just let it sit on skin for several min. Then I turn shower back on, rinse off, and use the kesse mitt in up and down or side to side movements to get dead skin off. CanNOT believe how much dead skin rolls off every time. My skin has never been smoother or healthier and the Argan oil I put on after while skin is moist soaks RIGHT in! My skin is silky smooth. I even use these on my face but I use much gentler touch while still getting dead skin off. My complexion is unbelievable now.Just try these!!! You will love them! Read more
THE SKEPTIC :I've tried everything for exfoliating and nothing really gets me smooth. I stumbled on this and it looks like a leather baseball mitt in the photo. It's actually a thin Rayon material that is abrasive? Hmmmm.THE TEST:The directions say to lather and rinse first using Black soap, but I just used my regular soap. On clean, wet skin scrub with the mitt using a back and forth motion as circular might be too aggressive. Oh you better believe I scrubbed back and forth and circular...especially on knees, elbows, back of arms and feet. I have thick, strong resilient skin and wanted to GLOW! I also get flaky on my face from Retin-A, so I carefully and gently scrubbed my face.THE RESULTS! :Holy $%#*! I came out of the tub slippery as a wet seal. I slathered on body lotion then my Vitamin C serum & RetinA on my face. I was literally beaming! My shoulders and cheeks shined with a healthy glow of a child! Even those annoying tiny bumps on the back of my arms were gone!Day 2 and my legs feel like silk! Lotion sinks right in. No rough knees and elbows. My face is so clear and dare I say luminous, that I'm just blown away! This is actually better results that I get from a $100 microdermabrasion facial! All the dead skin is removed and it allows my Vitamin C serum (Obagi 20%) and RetinA to sink deep and do its job. There must be circulatory benefits also as the healthy glow in my cheeks is coming from within. I still can't believe how radiant and clear my face looks!I'm going to buy more so I don't have to remove to switch hands. Also the mitt seems too large but will shrink after the first use. Hand wash and dry.* * One warning: This. Is. Abrasive! If you have thin or sensitive skin go lightly and gently - especially on your face! Read more
Had KP for more years than I can count. Tried everything. This is the real deal. Best part, effects last for a while. You could use every third shower and still be smooth. In comparison to much more expensive Baiden mitten, which I have, you don't have to soak in a tub for 15 minutes. You can use this right in the shower. Results in remarkable smoothness!Highly recommend! Read more
I was very excited to use this product on my KP/chicken skin. However, it is actually TOO tough of an exfoliant for my skin. I’ve attached a picture of how my skin looked after use (even more inflamed and red than it normally does). I’ve tried it many times with different “lubricants” (body wash, different oils) to try and get better results, but it leaves my skin irritated every time. And the elastic bit ripped away from the glove after just a few uses! It may work for some KP sufferers, but it managed to make mine even worse! Read more
The glove is so harsh, it tore my skin and caused me many redness. The quality of the material is really poor and I don’t think that this kessa is from Morocco as the country of origin is not indicated on the packaging,…. is not authentic and simply waste of money, I’m very unhappy about it. I will return it Read more

Ce gant de hammam est super. Je ne l'ai pas encore lavé, car souvent à la machine les coutures s'effilochent. Mais peut être ne faut-il pas le passer en machine et avec du savon de Marseille ça suffirait. Read more
