I just received my R-0010 Calcium Buffer reagent to re-supply my test kit for pool water testing. I normally order my replacement reagents for my Taylor testing kit directly from Taylor Technologies. This time I decided to order off Amazon because the delivery time was faster and I was already out of my reagent. The bottle that I received did have a Taylor sticker on it, but it did not look like the official Taylor sticker on my other bottles ordered directly from Taylor Technologies. Also, all reagents have an expiration date, and this bottle nowhere had an expiration date stamped on it so as far as I know it is already expired. I did just receive the bottle and I will try it but I will never order from this supplier again. I will order directly from Taylor. At least then I know my chemicals are not knockoffs and I can tell if they are expired or not. Read more
I have been using Taylor testing chemicals for about 5 years now combined with tests at Leslies. The 2 results are always very close.The larger bottles are better value and I checked with Taylor Technologies who confirmed that the drops from the larger bottles are no different in volume than those from the smaller bottles that you find in most Taylor testing kits.I do not replace the chemicals every year, I do it only if they run out or the results from the 2 different testing sources vary considerable.I've used many different types of testing systems over the many years we have had a pool and found Taylors system to be the very best. I purchase these reagents to refill my k2006 Taylor kit and have been very happy with the value and speed of delivery. Chances are if you use this kit then you don't have much use for pool store "experts." Not only is this half the cost, I don't get asked why I am not shocking my pool once a week :) Read more
