When I placed the order I asked for the “violin” shaped bottle. I specifically want that bottle because I can hold on to it better. The bottle that was sent to me was NOT the “violin” bottle & was very slippery. I’m a senior citizen with Parkinson’s disease so holding on to things is very difficult. Within a week of receiving it & a few times of using it, it fell out out of my hand & broke. My bathroom smells wonderful but I’m now out of the cologne & can’t afford another bottle for a while. I’m very disappointed about this because I love Tabu & now I’m out of it again. In the future please send exactly what I order. It makes a world of difference to me. This is the same Tabu scent that you would get from Walgreens, but in a more fancy bottle and is a better deal for the price.I can't speak for the scent because it was purchased as a gift, but the person for whom I got it has loved it and used it for a long time and has always been happy with it.The product arrived quickly and was packaged well. Note that this is a review of the seller, not of Tabu, which is a lovely, nostalgic perfume. It goes on a bit strong, but has a beautiful and intriguing, lingering scent.I specifically ordered from this company, Store of the World, for the violin-shaped bottle they specifically advertized, which is important to my gift. They subbed the generic bottle, which I could have gotten elsewhere for less. At least it's the same advertized volume. Overpowering and cloying scent. My first girl friend 50 years ago scented her letters to me with Tabu while I was a college freshman. It drove me and my dorm mates nuts. I purchased this item on a whim as a way to stimulate pleasant "memories if things past". It just doesn't have the erotic kick I recall from those days. After doing some research, I suspect this is a different formulation from the original. There's something cheap and synthetic about it. I have always liked the earthy aroma of Tabu but it seems the fragrance has been diluted. When using it, it used to add scent to the whole room for days. Now, it only lasts for an hour or so. Something has changed in the formula but the scent is still fabulous. Read more

I had forgotten about Tabu for many years until the local dollar store had little bottles for $2 apiece. I bought them out, and loved it so much I had to have more . It's not all sweet and flowery, nor does it make me smell like a birthday cake or a kid. It's sexy, I think. Just enough low notes on the earthy and amberish side, even a little musky. Quite disappointed with this scent. I ordered Tabu about 6 months ago - different shaped bottle. The label on that one stated Dana, Spain, where the original scent was developed. This latest purchase comes from the USA and seems a poor imitation of the original evocative scent. This one lacks the top citrus notes that are so essential to the scent and doesn't have the staying power of the original. Fortunately I still had some from my original pruchase so could do a side by side comparison. Its ok I suppose if you dont mind the slight chemical/soapy smell. Miss the original. Dana scents available, excellent price, quick service, great satisfaction.Other info: it says 'for women' but Dana Tabu was introduced to a friend of mine through a matador in Spain years ago and he has used it ever since!
