I wear contacts and get dry eye from (probably) too much computer use or reading for work. These little vials are life savers because they are so convenient and I don't have to carry a whole bottle of solution around. Also, these are preservative free because they come in small vials. The larger bottle lubricants all have preservatives (how else to keep them safe over months?).I have tried at least 5 other types of eye lubricants, especially for contact wears and not, but this is still my fav. The vials are cleaner than reusing a bigger bottle for a month or two, all the while breeding bacteria.The only good thing about contact specific eye drops is that they don't blur your vision, but I feel that it's just because they are diluted and the effects don't last as long. True, for about 5-10sec after putting these Alcon drops in my eye I have to blink a bit to clear my vision again. This only happens when I use the drops with contacts. Saying that an eye drop is better then another one is like saying that Apple juice is better than Orange juice: you simply can't, it's just too personal.Systane is one the most common brands out there such as Bausch Lomb or Clear eyes. It is a good brand but normally charges you for it.The best advice I can give you is to try as many eye drops as you can and stick with the one that pleases you the most. Living with Sjogren's Syndrome makes my eyes constantly dry, prickly and uncomforable.
