I try a lot of Henna products and this one is very good at covering my grey roots (I’m about 30-40% grey at this point). This picture is 4 days after coloring, I applied to clean hair (washed the previous day) and left it on with two shower caps to process for 2.5 hours.At this point I only use Henna products and no box color or ammonia based color at all, I’ve been doing henna for well over a year. I’ve tried several types, including powdered henna, which is beautiful but very time consuming and messy. Nothing about henna is easy, but there’s a trade off, you get much healthier hair and a healthier scalp. So it’s worth it for me.I cut off all my “processed” hair and this little bob cut is henna-colored only. My natural color before I started going grey was medium-dark brown.I only use Wen cleansing conditioner to wash it out, and I generally wait 48-72 hours before washing again, although if I go to the gym I can rinse with pure water and that doesn’t seem to affect the color much.Using regular shampoo will strip it, even the sulfate free kind. So be warned. But if you want a natural henna that doesn’t stink like box color and is a pretty copper color, this is a good one. Read more

I was tired of the increasing grey in my hair but didn’t want to use chemicals. I did my homework & tried several forms of Henna before I found this product. I’ve been using the “chocolate” shade for 5 years with great results. Each time I use it, I’m blown away by how it improves the texture and fullness of my hair. Still on a quest to cover my greys in my little afro. I’ve used this product a few times before. I typically use henna powder, but I wanted a little more density and moisture, which this product offers. However, like a semi-permanent color, it bleeds a bit if not more even during follow-up shampooing. Week 2 after using the product. The pros are that it’s easy to apply and rinse out, unlike powder. Your bathroom won’t look so much like a crime scene during application. The shade is pretty. My hair was shiny and moisturized after applying, but the bleeding makes me question the ingredients listed on the box. Is it as natural as they say it is? I use this product to cover my gray, mostly my roots. I found out that the color Chocolate is a darker brown than the color dark brown. I like that I can use it often. No time wait between uses. I make sure my hair is oil free before I apply, so I rinse my hair with white vinegar water before application. Weekly uses works best for me.I pat it on, don't brush on. Thanks 😊. Read more

Pay attention to the condition of your hair! I used this product three times, first two time, Chocolate, but it was too red so the third time I added Dark Brown. I noticed changes to my hair right away, but I didn't think is was related to this product since it was supposed to deposit the color on the hair without damaging the cuticle - Wrong! Not only did my hair break and fall, but it looks like frizzy fried straw. My hair used to have curl and bounce but that's all gone. I've had to cut it and have several treatments for damage, but they help only a little, I'll just have to wait for it to grow out. The color has also remained an unwanted red that won't wash out. Do not waste your money and time on this product!! I put the product on my hair, which is brown with blonde highlights, and left it on for 3.5 hours. It seemed okay after I washed it out but when I washed my hair again, 4 days later, 70% of the color washed out. I wash my hair twice a week with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. After 4 washes, the color has almost completely washed out of my hair. Semi-permanent color does wash out a little every time you wash your hair but the way this product washed out within 2 weeks is beyond ridiculous. Read more

I’ve been using this product for years and over time, henna creates a nice protective and strengthening cover of hair roots/shaft. My hair is thick, healthy and natural looking. I usually purchase this same product from sprouts. I decided to purchase from Amazon this time as it offered a great value pack. However, I just opened the package yesterday and the product wasn't the same. The liquid was much thicker when applying and my hair color wasn't the same after applying.
