I do like this stuff, but I think I may try a darker shade next time I buy. My hair is naturally the “copper” shade that is shown in the image on the box, but I have white streaks at my temples now. When you first use it (or any henna product, so it’s not this brand — it’s the nature of henna) the color comes out a bit orange and not Very natural looking. Again, that’s all henna that I’ve used. In a couple days it turns to a nice warm and very, very natural looking blondish copper. So even though it comes out lighter than the box image and lighter Than the rest of my hair, it looks very natural and just looks like I have lighter highlights at my temples. What I love about this brand is that it’s pre-mixed and super easy to use in a little bottle. (I’ve previously used pure powder that you have to mix and allow to set over night before you apply it and its More of a hassle.) I have used henna products for nearly 4 decades. In my youth I mixed powders with vinegar overnight in an iron pot. Then I left the flaky, strong smelling goop on my head for hours! What a mess!In my old age, I cannot be bothered. So, I turned to "liquid henna" products, of which there are precious few. This is the ONLY liquid henna product that actually covers grey. I have to mix colors to make it right for me, but that is fairly simple with a liquid like this. It still takes hours. It is not perfect, but it is less of a disaterous mess. And it leaves hair shiney, strong, and silky, just like powdered henna.I do not give it 5 stars because the price has gone up dramatically in the last 2 years. I cannot afford to pay that much extra for such an absurdly small bottle. (I need two bottles every time to mix colors.) I may go back go the messy powders if this trend continues.BTW- it would be far more environmentally responsible of Surya to sell it in larger resealable bottles. It doesnt "go bad." I used this on the white in my husband's beard. He was expecting a slightly less coppery tone, but I absolutely love it. I will get the red that doesn't say Copper next time. I've been using this product for years now. The Copper color does not really cover your grays well. I left the product in my hair for a hour under a heated dryer & it still barely tinted my grays. I also noticed that the amount of product in the container seems to be less. I only colored half of my head & there was very little left over. It does however make your hair soft. Read more

I’ve been using henna for 25 years. Probably exclusively for 10 now. This is by far the best ever. No mixing. No clumps or heating up. It rinsed out quickly and easily and covered my grey.
