Let me start with, I am a Nail Technician and a product Junkie. I have owned many brands of lamps throughout the past 8 years. Sun brand has far surpassed all of my expectations and needs even more so than other brands. This little gem here though... Is amazing. I have never owned a lamp that so thoroughly cured ALL 10 FINGERS. Thumbs included. The lights are placed in such a way that nothing is missed while in the lamp. So I knew I would be using it quite a bit in making products, most likely more then a normal person would use it. I have ended up using it with my natural nails as well.Durable - Its still working just like the day I purchased it. All of the lights inside still light up and the timers still work beautifully.Use - When using on your own hand, the nails feel a bit warm but still very comfortable. The light is bright so I don't suggest looking right at it when using it.Power - For me it seems to take two times through to cure polish. However I have a couple other lower powered units from other manufacturers and they take ages. So this to me is perfectly powerful enough for home use!Over all, it is a purchase that I feel is worth the cost. Long lasting and gets the job done! Read more

This is my first time writing a review because I have to let the world know how good this light is. I'm a professional and I used LED light all day long. Most of the light I've used usually break within 2 days to 1 year, and there is always a dead spot somewhere in the light where the gel doesn't dry completely, especially OPI gel polishes they need full exposure to the light. Ususally the THUMB never dry fully, its side usually wrinkle because the light doesn't reach it completely and I have to dry them separately by themselves to dry them. Also on the toes, the client's big toes usually stick up too close to the light (from the pedicure chair) and doesn't dry at all.Since I've used this light, which is 2 weeks now, all those problems are GONE. I've never had any problem, the client can put their and or their feet in any position they feel comfortable, and the light dry them all, so fast that I never need to wait for more than 30sec. I usually never push anything, the light turn on by itself and turn off automatically I think after 120sec which is way more than enough to dry gel polishes. I don't use any product that require UV light to dry so I don't know how fast it dries, but I''m sure it will do a good job - but who use UV products anymore? It's so outdated.The light is average size, which I like because it's pretty roomy inside, the client don't risk hitting their nails on the side or the top of the light. You can almost fit 2 hands inside or even 1 hand on top of another easily. It's nice for people with big hands. The light still fits in my station's drawer which is a plus. You can pull the bottom part out to dry the toes. I wish the bottom was metallic and attached with magnets to be removed easily like other lights but I'm so happy with this light so I don't really care about that part. The design overall is so sleek and modern at the same time big but not bulky like some lights I've seen which are so ugly. I call my lamp the Tesla of all the lamps. I'm so happy to upgrade from a Huynday to a Tesla. I love it. Now I hope it will last me at least a year or 2, I don't expect more for this price. Read more

If you're just going to be using this for gel polish, this lamp will likely work for you. I did have one clear glitter led polish that refused to cure at all, reason unknown. (It cures in 10 sec in my gelish lamp.) As for builder gels, this may not provide a full cure. I found my Gelish Polygel and IBD LED Clear Builder Gel were still soft and flexible after 90 sec. I bought this to save time over my UV lamp, but seemed to have my hand in there just as much.Also, I wish it did something to acknowledge double power mode being turned on. I was never quite sure if I was on double power; The lights were always very bright. Speaking of which, you may want to keep it a little lower than on top of your desk, out of your line of sight. You know how you still see the flash from a camera after a photo is taken? Imagine seeing 10 of those if you even look in the direction of this thing.I've switched to the Gelish 18g, which I realize is not in everyone's price range and more power than most ppl need. (You can find a used one on E*** for much cheaper) The shield on the Gelish has made more of a difference for my eyes than I anticipated. The lights on this machine weren't ridiculously blinding but it makes a huge difference in how much exposure your eyes are getting, reducing eye strain and extra light exposure to the skin.I don't think this light did anything different to merit this pricepoint above the others. It seems a lil sturdier and more sleek but performance wise, I think the $30 lamps will do the same, especially for just polish.BUT...If you're putting the time and effort into doing your own builder gels, do yourself a favor and just invest in a high quality light. Scour craigs****, Mercar*, E***, whatever. You'll find one. It's worth it. I regret wasting money on this, and wasting time doing tips that ended up lifting due to incomplete curing.
