My son has got a fracture of a sesamoid bone under the ball of the foot and it has been a real problem for almost three years. We thought that, although these aren't for that condition, they might help by keeping the big toe and the one next to it separate and relieve the pressure he feels that causes pain. These did that but we think ones that don't have the section that goes down the side of the foot would be better for sesamoid related problems. They are soft and comfortable and very easy to clean.
