I came at my first shave with this razor with just shy of a week’s worth of stubble. Here are some thoughts and impressions:1. Dang this thing plowed through a lot of hair very quickly. I was able to remove large areas with ease. It does take more finesse to remove finer stubble. Cut myself in a couple of spots because I was hurrying.2. This is basically relearning how to shave if you’re used to disposables. Don’t be me and try to sneak it into a fifteen minute window. I will be finishing this shave in about an hour here on my next work break (telecommute ftw). Results for the first fifteen minute session are in my first picture.3. There’s a reason it’s called wet shaving. Don’t let it get too dry. I warn you now lol.4. As far as shaving goes despite my trouble this was more consistent, smoother, and easier than the disposables. It might take a couple goes to really dial it in but I’m a fan.Overall the experience was both novel and instructive. The items themselves feel to me to be very high quality. This is only the second straight blade razor I have ever owned, and by far this is my favorite. Compared to my old one, this is far superior with a comfortable ergonomic grip, easy to use 3 piece holder for the blade, and the perfect amount of exposed razor for the closest cut you can get without going to a professional. Due to the high quality of the product I doubt I'll have to buy another one for myself, but I would buy it for a friend or family member for a birthday or holiday without hesitation. Read more

First and foremost this straight razor is my second one I have ever owned and this one is way better than the first one. Upon holding and using it you can feel the quality. The box and presentation is great and the blades are truly razor sharp. It comes with 100 and even thought they're disposable they're sharp enough for me to use each one multiple times so I will most likely get over a years worth of line ups and shaves for $10. I have no complaints.Quick tip, At first I thought the blades were too loose and it wasn't holding them tight enough but if you just open the top piece that holds the two razor blade holders together and pinch it a bit tighter it'll have a firmer grip on the blades once you put it back down to hold them. After each use I simple take out the blade rinse everything off and shake the water off then a quick rub on the towel and reinsert the blade and no rust at all whatsoever and replace it in the box. I'm assuming anyone who has complained about rust leaves it soaking wet and places it back into the box.Again the blades are really thin and truly razor sharp so be careful. This thing will glide right through your hairs and into your skin and give your skull a "hello there" if you're not careful. Bit of a learning curve if you've never used a straight edge so don't rush and first learn the right angle to hold it and you'll be shaving and edging with ease in no time. Read more

Super happy I bought this straight edge razor, I have always wanted to get one these and I'm certainly glad I finally pulled the triggered and bought one. There is a learning curve to using it but the razor came with great instructions and a link to a video to watch that is helpful as well. I searched around prior to purchase and am super happy I went with this razor as it is made of quality material and doesn't feel like it will break down and only last a few months rather it seems very durable and that it will last for years. It also came with replacement razors that are super sharp and also made of high quality material. I have been using a fromm brand for the last 15 years, wich is fine but was time for a new one there were a few to choose from on Amazon in the same price range i chose this one because of the free 100 Japanese blades as opposed to regular steel blades... This is quite a nice razor. The heft and sturdiness of the handle is comfortable in my grip, and the "japanese steel" blades that come with it are incredibly sharp. My only complaint in the design is the ease of inserting the blade without moving it out of alignment when you try to lock it down.Since mask wearing has become a thing, keeping facial hair has become an itchy burden. I got this straight-edge as an experiment to see if I would eventually want to invest in a fixed-blade straight edge, and so far, outside of a learning curve, it has been a wonderful investment.
